So I've paid for Netflix for an entire year! I've invested so much time into Orange is the New Black and House of Cards, I even grinded every episode of Friends last month! Now, I log in today and all of it is gone! I can't even watch movies that I have been able to watch for a full year!
I don't get it. I've been a loyal customer for a year, and just because I stopped paying, I get locked out of content. Well I wont be giving them my business anymore, scammers.
Do you get it now?
EDIT 1: I seem to be getting a lot of similar replies, usually directed at claiming Destiny is not a "subscription" service and that we the players "own" the game. I'm sorry boys and girls, we do not own anything. We paid for a liscence to access Destiny's content; content which is subject to change or even be removed for those who don't update their liscence. This was all outlined in the EULA you blindly accepted a year ago.
EDIT 2: "LIMITED USE LICENSE: Bungie grants you the non-exclusive, personal, non-transferable, limited right and license to install and use one copy of this Program solely for your non-commercial use. All rights not specifically granted are reserved by Bungie. The Program is licensed, not sold, for your use. Your license confers no title or ownership in this Program, and should not be construed as a sale of any rights in this Program."
EDIT 3: Jesus this is still going, this is fantastic. It looks like the verdict is roughly about 50/50 on people agreeing with me, or calling me some derivative of the word retard. To each their own I guess. I'd hope you guys get this worked up when Norton Antivirus tries to charge you for updates, and then removes features when you don't pay. Because, you know, you bought a disk, so you're clearly entitled.

I think these people who are mad about ttk. Should either buy it and keep playing or shut up and find something else to do. Wasting your time on these forums bitching and crying isn't helping anything.

Edited by AustinSX: 9/17/2015 5:48:02 PMIf only destiny was subscription based so your analogy would make any sense. Oh well, try again.
-
This is awesome. You make a great point to all the dumb people. You have my Respect.
-
As someone who bought TTK.. that is a horrible comparison
-
Well played ☺

Edited by GreaterTirus12: 9/17/2015 5:45:23 PMThere's a difference you idiot. Netflix is a SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE that requires you to pay and if you don't pay you can't access it. They advertise it all the time as a subscription service also. Bungvision however advertised their game as BUY TO PLAY which means that you buy the game once or any of its downloadable content and you can play the content that you have paid for if you choose not to pay for any future content. This is not a pay to play subscription game. Since it is b2p they have no right to take away content and choice from people that already did pay for forcing them to pay $60 for something they may not want.

Someone just went full blowtard

#sarcasm?

I see your point and would be inclined to agree for Destiny was advertised as a subscription service. But it wasnt. It was supposed to be a base game that was added to with expansions. In Halo I could play almost all of the Playlist without the dlc. The Map choice was the only thing I was excluded from. I can't imagine not being able to run the campaign on legendary just because I didn't shell out $9.95 for the Mythic Pack. I understand how this game works and will work moving forward but Bungie should have been clear on their setup before launch.

Mawhahahaha GOT EM all those poor lil babies
-
Ha yup
-
Destiny is a physical game that I bought... If say AC4 had a dlc, I'm not locked out of things I could do before but in destiny I probably won't be able to do iron banner, trials, nightfall, weekly and the game mode I would like to play in crucible like I used to. There isn't any dark below crucible play list or house of wolves play list like I thought I paid for. Yes I understand that the terms of service only allowed players permission to the game and not the ability to own it. But that's a real dick move in my opinion, I mean who reads the bs long terms of service? And just because I won't buy more I am having things taken away... its what I agreed to but it's stupid af

Yes! Someone gets it!

I get you love sucking Bungie's dick. Pretty much the only thing I get.

I made one of those post, but I gotbto hand it to you, that was the best and only accurate analogy of it I've seen.

Edited by Buckle: 9/17/2015 5:14:43 PMI bought a car I bought it in cash and I've owned it with no debt for a year. Suddenly the dealership tells me I need to buy a super x1 turbo package to make the car better or else I can't drive the car. Even though the turbo package would make the car better I don't really need it or want it but since I didn't buy it they impounded the car.
Do you get it now?
I don't normally mute people just for being stupid. Hell, I'd have to mute myself on occasion. But this...this is advanced stupid. Like the poor girl who thought it took 18 months to give birth to twins kind of stupid.

So.... We're comparing a subscription based service to purchased game? The fact you got so many "likes" scares me with that awful comparison.
