I got Ace of Spades.
Just got Ace of Spades!!
You get the quest from the gunsmith at level 3 for Hunter.
It is equipped on my Hunter
IMPORTANT EDIT: Weapon CANNOT be equipped to other classes
Edit: For those of you wondering how I got to rank 3, here's what I did:
- Completed all test weapons from last week with nightfall buff
- Completed the 4 available test weapons from Tuesday server reset
- Completed all test weapons from this week with no nightfall buff
- Completed the gunsmith rank 2 quest
- Redeemed 3 gunsmith faction consumable...things (don't really know what they are, they look like fusion rifles)
Edit: for those of you wondering about the quest:
The quest is the second Back in the Saddle
There are two quests with the same name.
The first one is awarded at rank 2 for the class legendary special weapon
The second is awarded at rank 3 for the class exotic primary
These are the stages for the rank 3 quest for AoS:
- Stage 1: get 100 hand cannon kills while a Primary Telemetry is active (primary telemetry has replaced the old individual weapon telemetry)
- Stage 2: dismantle 5 rare or 2 legendary hand cannons

One of the things I praised Destiny for at launch was equal weapon options for all classes and now they've gone and thrown it out the window. It makes sense in other games because you can't expect a rogue to use a giant barbarians axe/sword or vice versa; but all guardians know how to pull a trigger on a gun...

4 RepliesWhat is the best place to farm the gunsmith rank consumable (fusion rifle looking thing)? I am 220 from rank 3 and spent 2 hrs running patrols on Venus with no drops. Already did all the guns bountys this week.

5 RepliesIf it's like the stillpiercer quest. You don't really have to use a telemetry. Just use a cloak that speeds hand cannon upgrading.

3 RepliesLove this thing. It took me about 10 mins on the dreadnaught running around with the last word to get my 100 kills. There are better ones for the job, but last word is my only year 2 attack level hand cannon.

4 RepliesHey man. Question for the rank two quest if you dismantle a legendary sniper does it give you two towards the total dismantle count ? just asking cause i have the quest but every time i decode a engram rahool gives me fusion rifles instead of snipers, its so slow.

The best thing about 'ace of spades' is that it has the tex mechanica spin thing on it- also it sounds pretty unique when fired.
