Just hit 290! I'm ready for you Oryx!
To those having trouble getting light, I would recommend farming Court of Oryx. The rewards scale to your light level. I got a 298 attack pulse rifle as a reward from a tier 1 court.

Cool. I wasnt sure how high the value numbers went. Now i know 280 isnt cap. I'll have to spend more time in the dreadnaught and farm the court

No hate here, but why not infuse the blue gear into lower lvl legendary gear?

Well, because why would I? And that's a genuine question: is there a benefit to having legendary gear over rare gear?

Usually legendary gear has more perks on it. That's definetly a thing for guns. Other than that, is it worth infusing for visual purposes? I guess what I'm asking is this. If you got a 280 legendary chest piece lets say, would you wear that and infuse the blue piece into it? Or stick with the blue?

I'd rather be able to do certain Activities than worry about having one or two more perks.

Well I'm saying you can infuse your high lvl blues into the legendary... So now the legendary is a high enough level for your activities. Feel me?

Infusing isn't as grand as it sounds. It only boosts the infused item by 2 Attack or Defense from what I've seen.

It boost to within 2-3 light of the "infusee" weapon usually or to the same light.

Well it depends on the attack values of course, but yeah it doesn't go all the way to what the higher level item was you're right. So you dont think it's worth it. See I'm still trying to decide. Thanks for the help!

Depends on what you're infusing. I took a crap level legendary ghost and infused it up into the 200s because of multiple perks that I liked. Same with my sword. The bigger the difference between the two pieces, the bigger the increase you get.

I have Red Death. I bought it from the blueprints, then infused it with my old Auto Rifle. Now it has 290 attack.

Right ok, and because I only have year 1 red death it won't let me see it. How funny

That's annoying that it doesn't scale to the activity. I often play with certain item equipment equipped to attempt to level them up. It's kinda dumb I can't work on it without getting penalized. TBH I'm just salty that I've IMO gotten shafted so far with RNG. Either way you're facing RNG and that's the bitch of the whole thing.
