To Bungie, From a Beta player
During year one, I had a love hate relationship with Destiny. The game showed that it had potential yet never seemed to live up to it in the first year. That all changed with The Taken King. I am really satisfied with my purchase, and though I was on the fence all the way up to about 3 weeks ago, I haven't been disappointed. In face, I'm more than happy with what the expansion turned out to be.
It seems this opinion may not be popular on the forums right now, but that's ok, because this is just my personal viewpoint. The story, cutscenes, and questline layout have really streamlined the game. The separation of Light and Level are great. The new exotics and weapon types (swords) have really made me happy.
Bravo, Bungie. You seem to have really taken to heart the cries of your customers during year one. Thank you for making content that is not only worth the money, but brings back an amount of fun that I haven't experienced since the days of Vault of Glass.

8 RepliesDont get me wrong. the expac is nice. but bungies business ethics are not. hence alot of the hate for bungie. i got TTK myself. but its the last imma buy. because of how shady they are being. and yes imma enjoy this xpac to the fullest. until I get bored with it. or they toss out another DLC and lock me out of the content. Why would I stay with this xpac? Because I paid money for it. and cant get that money back. So eh. Enjoy it.

I was stoked about Destiny when i played Beta. If the Beta is this good even with max. 8lvl, then the full game must be amazing. Well the final product was little bit letdown. Also TDB and HoW were dissapointing to me due the lack of actual storytelling and PvE content. Now with the TTK, i actually get good content with my money. Its great to see that Bungie is still trying.

9 RepliesThat's fair enough, well written and good feedback. I'm curious how you feel about bungie locking non dlc players out of buying any guns and taking away strikes about level 20, removing an entire in game currency we previously had (marks that non dlc players have no access to) ect...

2 RepliesMy titan is wearing blues and greens again and I love it. A few days ago, I was dismantling anything lower than a legendary without hesitation. Now, I'm carefully checking their stats. The thrill of the hunt is back!

What you have written will surely be appreciated by any Destiny employee that comes across this message. And I agree with you when you say that the expansion The Taken King is great. -The Taken are interesting and challenging to play against. -The story cutscenes are amazing! -The map scenery is breath-taking (still looking at the horizon at the top of the colony ship in [b]CAYDE'S STASH[/b]) -The story is growing more and more, and I am loving everything about it (I really hope Mara isn't really dead) -The new weapons, armor, ships, shaders, ... everything looks just so well done. -The new mechanics of Bounties, reputation, Vault space, and introduction of quests makes the game even more convenient and enjoyable. -Bungie gave[b] every[/b] character of [b]every[/b] player their own Legend of You Trailer accompanied by granting a neat title to their gamer tag! Like you, I was also in the beta test, back in July 2014 (Lvl 8 seemed like such a big number back then), and I have been playing and following Destiny ever since. I've played the core story and both previous expansions. My grimoire is filled with many discovered cards and I thoroughly enjoy reading each one in my spare time. I've played the Raids and braved the Trials. I haved experience much of what this game has to offer. And after all of that, I feel like this is the first game I have ever had a lasting involvement in. I love this game, and its all thanks to the awesome developers and community managers and the rest of the employees of Bungie. Anyway, thank you... Thank you for thanking them. The world could use a little more shown gratitude.

2 RepliesPeople don't understand some errors are to be expected so soon after release. Overall, the game is amazing. Still a bit peeved about the Suros weapons pack though...
