Hey guys, do you remember telling us this back on 6/24/2015?
"We’re actively working to make the digital content from the Collector’s Edition available in a $20 upgrade bundle (suggested retail price), available on 9/15/2015. If you purchase a stand-alone version of Destiny: The Taken King, or already have, you'll be able to pick up the digital items as soon as they are available.
If you have decided to pick up the Legendary Edition of Destiny: The Taken King at retail, you can also elect to pick this up if you want to upgrade into a Collector’s Edition."
Why didn't you tell us about the 360 not getting this then? would it have been so hard to add in : "This offer won't be available to players on the Xbox 360." You could have even added at the end of it : "Because we just don't like you that much." if you really wanted to rub salt in our wounds. Seriously, this level of exclusion and alienation is hurting the way you guys look. What will you do when game journals and other outlets get wind of this? You know what will come out of it right? News articles with the heading "Bungie hates Xbox 360 players? Taken King content lockout!" or something along those lines? Way to make your PR work for their pay. you are gonna have a flood of angry players, not like you don't already.

or just buy a new console :-P from time to time its not the badest idea to upgrade ;-) and 360 is really really really old. same goes for ps3!

its the truth. i come from the PC; just bought the PS4 some months ago because of TLOU. on the PC we need to upgrade every 2 years to be able to play the new games in decent framerates/graphics. a console lasts longer, for sure. but it is harder for the companies to get modern games adapted properly to the old hardware of the older consoles. so its just normal that one day you wont get all the good stuff anymore. this is generally speaking! and a new console really isnt that expensive. 399, so what?! on PC we pay three times as much every 2 years and we also dont complain ;-) so paying 399 every 6 years for a new console really isnt a problem, is it?

Edited by readysetpanic: 9/17/2015 12:17:31 PMBetween $500 and $600 where I am, and between bills and rent and other concerns not everyone is in a privileged enough circumstance to be able to dump that down on new consoles which haven't yet proven their worth. Which is all besides the point anyway, because Bungie and Activision chose to publish this game on the 360 and PS3. And so if they chose to do that with their software, then they should do their best to support it.

Edited by umo: 9/18/2015 3:43:47 AMthats the other side of the medal, true. can agree with that as well. maybe i think this way because im not tied to a specific system to play games i like. for me its therefore not important to rely on that single console i have for years already. i dont have that much money as well. but i usually spare some in advance - because i know i have to invest in the near future again :) and progress counts in games as well. old systems slow this progress down. for the good or the worse. in any way - the graphics surely dont benefit from ports to old systems. which in turn doesnt matter on the PC. one simple rule applies there: you dont have the system? play with less quality or better dont play at all :-P if console gaming would also be threated that way and people would get comfortable with it problems like the ones mentioned here would not arise at all, as every console player would take its console update for granted the same way PC Gamers do for ages already ;)
