So to make sure I am following this correctly, I am now going to have to buy the game a total of [i]three[/i] times in order to get the items in the Collector's Edition since I play on the 360 and cannot get the upgrade.
Not to mention buying the entire game again as I have an Xbone as well (but that's necessary, so no foul there).
I see what you did there, Bungie, and let me just say that it's a poor show, old sport.

They REALLY need to make accessible to the whole console. It worked with the DLCs, but now it's not gonna work with the most expensive one? This is a bunch of bullshit.

As a good friend pointed out, it's one thing if there's an issue - it's another [i]entirely[/i] when we're directed to buy the $80 Collector's Edition to get what we should have received in purchasing the Digital Download.

DON'T buy the Collector's Edition. Boycott BUNGIE until they cave and make a downloadable upgrade.

Boycott? I don't know about boycotting, but at the very least an explanation and apology for inconvience would be nice. I can just be salty that there is some type of licensing issue or what have you. But we know the items in the $80 version work, why can't they be made standalone, and why can't we at least get some statement about that. It's not the lack of content that I find problematic, it's the lack of communication to the player base.

The communication is poor (now there are issues with Legendary Marks and the Spark of Light cropping up) and just flat out being told to buy something to correct a situation is what's really getting my Towel in a twist.

I'm trying very hard to not get my Titan Towel in a bunch, but being told that I need to buy the game plus all three DLCs to fix a problem is flipping annoying, to say the least.
