IS MARA SOV DEAD?!?
Im really upset now. In the cutscene it showed Oryx kind of using radioactive waves to destroy all the awoken AND the Queens ship.
Does that mean she is dead?
In the grimoire it is stated that her brother landed on Mars and the Queen is reported as "missing".. Thoughts anyone?

Does it really matter? We are a year into an alleged 10 year project that includes an entire race that can travel through time, and seemingly manipulate it. Even if she is dead, it really would take much to undo it...

The Petra quests have you picking up wreckage pieces from the battle and mentions the Taken are looking for them too, there are little indicators that she is alive in some form.

She for sure created that little light ball that guides us. She clearly has some power and back story that is more than just the Queen of the awoken. I believe she may have been the embodiment of one of Oryx's sisters.

1 ReplyPretty sure she is the light ball guiding you in some missions. The light leaving her eyes before the explosion is a signal that she moved out of that body. She's up to something. I suspect she wants the taken army for herself, and this is a means to an end. Her and Eris came up with this plan so the guardians would help her take down Oryx. Just theories. I haven't read any grimiore on the matter.

In the cutscene they said they've taken there leaders im guessing that neans mara siv and the cabal leaders,but you never know plus didn't see a lot if dead bodies floating around soo.

I just got Telesto exotic fusion rifle drop, and the grimoire card makes it sound like she may still be alive!!!

I personally think she isn't dead, only lost in space or is chilling in another timeline in the Black Garden. Petra and Variks only THINK she's dead, they didn't confirm it.
