Well when it started in the mid 1900s it was a movement only for white women. Equalism would include everyone no matter gender or race, which really race is the stupidest thing ever as we're all human beings, we can breed with any other human that is capable of sustaining children so we're all one species. But yes Equalism would make way more sense.
