I had this happen with an other game on the PS3 (GTA V) where the download just kept effing corrupting and not running after finishing, so I bought the disc. Called Sony up and their were vary helpful. They said that they could see on their end that I started playing the discc version, and had a special 2 time (not clear if lifetime or per year) courtesy refund for this exact issue. Took a little while for the credit to come through but it did. Edit: To be clear, Bungie has no control over refunds, only Sony or MS can address this case as they processed the transaction.
