In today’s news, a Muslim fundamentalist from Dubai stopped lifeguards from saving a young girl from drowning. His name is Colonel Ahmed Burqibah and he's the chief of police in the area. In his view, it was better that she died rather than be touched by the male lifeguards and dishonored. He did this because of his religious beliefs.
How do you react?
A. Condemn the atrocious behaviour of the father whose patriarchal religious beliefs caused him to allow his innocent daughter to die.
Warning: You will be criticizing Islam and a person of color for the sake of a woman.
B. Praise the father for staying true to his beliefs and his culture.
Warning: You will be undermining the life of a woman even though feminism is supposed to be about empowerment.
C. Remain completely silent about the issue and ignore it completely because the rules of social justice and political correctness conflict with themselves in here as they do in almost all situations.
Hint: If you are a feminist, you will pick C because you are a ridiculous caricature of a human being.

When men burn women alive we hang them, and confiscate all their property. My carpenters shall therefore erect gibbets on which to hang all concerned when the widow is consumed. Let us all act according to national customs." — Rhetoric by Charles James Napier (attributed), 1843, during his governorship in British India Life always takes precedent over culture, especially when it's idiotic. I've always hated the concept of honor, especially when it goes against pragmatism and being a decent -blam!-ing human being.
