At the time it was created it made sense because it was advancing only women to be at the same level as men. Now a more proper term (one that some do use) would be humanism. Because there are things that need to be equal on both sides. But yeah, [i]modern[/i] feminism is actually attempting to surpass men to ridiculous levels.
