I just bought The Taken King: Legendary Edition and it comes with a code which says that it would allow me to access content from Expansion 1 and 2 of Destiny. After entering the code, I seem to only able to play The Taken King missions and not the expansion missions like fist of crota.
P.S Before getting this legendary edition, I already had destiny but without both the expansions.

Pretty sure you have to do the story line you have to have the expansions to Play ttk I think

Fact: to make the story more linear, Dark Below and House of Wolves have been infused into the main story, so those missions unlock as you progress through the game.
