There's not 40$ edition here, you must be kidding. Only a redeem a code option (SOOOO USEFUL THANK YOU BUNGIE I'M SURE IT WILL BE SO USED), Legendary edition code and a collector's edition code

I went into the Bungie site, went to "Releases" in the DESTINY drop down menu ... Then hit pre order ... xbox 360 and it gave me the stand alone version for $39.95, I ordered it the the Bungie Site! .. Hopefuly it will be on my game when I get home from work.

Congrats, you just bought the Xbox One edition. Bungie screwed things up and linked the Xbox 360 purchase option through to the Xbox One digital download in the Xbox store. This happened to me and I had to contact Microsoft to get a refund.

Go to http://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us Select "Billing", then "Other", then "Chat With Microsoft Support" (at the bottom). They're pretty helpful, although the process is a bit slow.

That sucks! ... Bungie posted that you can order it in game also for 360 players.

The legendary edition and the collector's of course, here in Spain at least I can't buy the 40$ digital version
