[BUNGIE] Destiny: The Taken King Vital Information (UPDATED)

Hello! This post is dedicated to keeping you up-to-date on information regarding Destiny: The Taken King. This includes purchasing, any issues that may arise, and links to new Help articles. [u][b]9/15 NOTES:[/b] [/u] • Xbox 360 players: If you purchased any digital version of Destiny: The Taken King and are encountering issues launching it, please perform the following steps: -[url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12539]Clear your console cache[/url] -[url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12181]Restore the licenses on your console[/url] -Launch the application purchased via Xbox Marketplace (Xbox Dashboard -> Games -> My Games -> Launch) -Once all eligible offers have finished installing, relaunch Destiny [b]We reached a working resolution with Microsoft for this Xbox 360 issue. Any Xbox 360 players who experience error code 80070057 after purchasing Destiny: The Taken King, please contact Xbox support for the best resolution.[/b] • Xbox 360 players who wish to purchase Destiny: The Taken King ($40 USD) can do so via the in-game prompt on the Director. This upgrade will not be available on the Xbox Marketplace, only the Legendary Edition and the full Collector's Edition. • Some users are reporting that the Golden Chest count was reset on their Moments of Triumph at 2am PDT. We are actively investigating. • We are aware of an issue that Crucible rank package display as "Vanguard". These are, in fact, Crucible packages and will give Crucible rewards. •The Suros Arsenal weapons and Vanguard Weapon Pack Items can be found at the Vanguard Quartermaster, located in the Tower Hangar. • The Digital Collector's Edition Upgrade ($20) may not be available for purchase at this time. We are aware of this issue and are actively investigating. [b] 9/16 UPDATE - This offer should now be available to all eligible players in all eligible regions.   • My friend helped me find all of the materials, and when I turned in the 5 Calcified Fragments, she didn't give me the Reforged The Sword bounty. I went to talk to Shaxx and he didn't allow me to turn in my 10 Mote of Light and my 25 Hadium Flake. Why is this? Why didn't Eris give me the bounty?

        I own a Disc copy of Destiny for Xbox 360. After this new update called "Destiny Title Update", my Destiny game started crashing. When I select "play destiny" it attempts to load the game and then i get a black screen with an error that says" oops something bad happened.....wait a minute" after several minutes of waiting it tells me it can't load the game. Close Destiny and try again. after hours of this non-sense error, I uninstalled the game and tried to re-install it. It has been a nightmare re-installing the game. Now I am stuck at the "verifying content" phase. it stops at 32% and no progress. Needs help please!

      • Ok, so now that there are those of us on Xbox 360, like myself, that bought the $40 legendary edition fully expecting to purchase the $20 upgade when we could afford it because YOU SAID that we could and now can't because you chose not to give it to those solely on Xbox 360's. How do you plan on rectifying this? You've basically screwed all Xbox 360 players by doing this, without so much as a screw you. Most of your customers are NOT made out of money Bungie.

      • Okay, so I bought the Vanguard Edition, or the version that you get the game and two dlcs, but I can't buy the Taken King. I don't know why, so could I please get an answer for this? Thank you.

      • i know you guys are hard at work figuring out this error code 80070057, but im experiencing this error code: 800700E8. I pre-ordered the game through bungie.net's link to xbox live. I purchased the Taken King for me and my fiance for the 360. the 15th rolls around, we take care of any updates and downloads we need to and......we cant play the taken king content. we can play just fine on the xbox one, which we didn't purchase for, but everytime we try to do anything taken king related on the 360, it tells us we dont have it.we contacted Microsoft on the issue and they said something along the lines of the servers were failing due to numerous downloads and told me they would get in contact once i was able to download the content proper onto my 360. Until that time, though, my 360 has a "Content not available" sitting in my download history where the taken king should be sitting. I know you are all very busy, but please....when you get a moment, please look into this. Thank you

          Hello Bungie! I purchased the Collector's Edition of TTK and did not receive the Collector's Edition Items! How do I go about receiving these or having you guys investigate my account? The Suros Arsenal weapons and Vanguard Weapon Pack Items which can be found at the Vanguard Quartermaster, located in the Tower Hangar, were not there for example. Finally, my TTK Collector's edition was $100! It did not register that I already owned Destiny vanilla, The Dark Below, House of Wolves. How do I get re-reimbursed for this? Please get back to me!           • GAmertag EMRIFOREVER, I have downloaded the Taken King 3 times since Tuesday and it just hangs when it goes to the Installing DestinyTransfering Game Content Screen at 49%. I left it run for over 12 hours without it finishing and my PS4 sounds like it is spinning the disc and going nowhere. All other games and discs work except this game. I have restored license and checked network connection. I have gone to safe mode and completed a rebuild of my PS4 and then just downloaded it again and the same issue, hung at 49%. Please check and see what is going on or direct me to somewhere that I can get support for this issue. I have no idea whom to contact?? I see no updates anywhere for this issue HELP!!!!#help;#help_asap.

            • I'm testing the problem with my expansions and the only thing I can find is that the digital edition is bugged for numerous accounts. My brother can buy the TTK with his account on my xbox one, the menu in the directory will popup ready to be bought. But when switching accounts it didn't popup at all. It did popup when I uninstall both year one expansions, but then only the legendary and collector edition will be shown not the standard edition. Hope this helps because I'm really getting frustrated not being able to do most of the new content.

              • I had bought the TTK on the Xbox 360, but when I go to my XOne, it says unavailable for the $40 TTK. I called Microsoft, uninstalled TTK on 360, go to XOne, still unavailable. Then I'm transfered and told that there is a server crash or something. I want to play TTK. I can wear the TTK items I earned on 360 on the One, but I can't do the missions! I want this fixed, I'm not paying $60 for DLCs I already own. I want to play this on my One. Please help

                • Please, would love some help here. I've been playing with the same Xbox and gateway for more than 6 months. Yesterday evening I suddenly had this issue start: Game loads fine to character select screen. Once a character is chosen, load times increase exponentially. It takes about 2 minutes to load into orbit. During this time the music clips in and out. Once in orbit, load times are worse. It takes 2-5 minutes to select a destination. Once that begins loading, it takes another 5-10 minutes of loading before I receive a pumpkin error and am returned to main screen. So what I tried tonight: deleted and reinstalled destiny (while I was at work re downloaded all updates). When I got home I chose a new static ip for Xbox, filled in gateway and subnet stuff. Then added in DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Added Xbox to DMZ list. Then added the following rules under my static Xbox list for port forwarding: TCP 80, UDP 88, both 3074, and both 53. so under port forwarding I chose that and then those values. I feel like that should be correct for that piece, but not sure if that's all that needs done there. I've spent more than 4 hours trouble shooting this and this is my third post here about this issue (with no response from anyone yet!) Verizon states I can pay $75 for their crack team to look into this for me, but since I just paid $80 for the CE edition paying another 75 really feels like a kick in the pants. So, please, some help or suggestions :) Xbox 360, about 30 GB of hard space free. Game is installed and is not running off disc. Other games are running without issue. Netflix is running without issue. With certain settings on network test it says my NAT setting is moderate. Currently, it does not state that. (With all of the changes I've made...) My gateway is a Verizon model FIOS-g1100 Thank you for any help.
