[BUNGIE] Destiny: The Taken King Vital Information (UPDATED)

Hello! This post is dedicated to keeping you up-to-date on information regarding Destiny: The Taken King. This includes purchasing, any issues that may arise, and links to new Help articles. [u][b]9/15 NOTES:[/b] [/u] • Xbox 360 players: If you purchased any digital version of Destiny: The Taken King and are encountering issues launching it, please perform the following steps: -[url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12539]Clear your console cache[/url] -[url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12181]Restore the licenses on your console[/url] -Launch the application purchased via Xbox Marketplace (Xbox Dashboard -> Games -> My Games -> Launch) -Once all eligible offers have finished installing, relaunch Destiny [b]We reached a working resolution with Microsoft for this Xbox 360 issue. Any Xbox 360 players who experience error code 80070057 after purchasing Destiny: The Taken King, please contact Xbox support for the best resolution.[/b] • Xbox 360 players who wish to purchase Destiny: The Taken King ($40 USD) can do so via the in-game prompt on the Director. This upgrade will not be available on the Xbox Marketplace, only the Legendary Edition and the full Collector's Edition. • Some users are reporting that the Golden Chest count was reset on their Moments of Triumph at 2am PDT. We are actively investigating. • We are aware of an issue that Crucible rank package display as "Vanguard". These are, in fact, Crucible packages and will give Crucible rewards. •The Suros Arsenal weapons and Vanguard Weapon Pack Items can be found at the Vanguard Quartermaster, located in the Tower Hangar. • The Digital Collector's Edition Upgrade ($20) may not be available for purchase at this time. Bungie is aware and currently investigating this matter. [b][UPDATE 9/28][/b] [u][b]9/28 NOTES[/b][/u] • Issues impacting the Hakke/Suros Arsenal Packs have been resolved. In its place, Vanguard Streaks can be earned by players in strike playlists for a chance at more rewards.   • You know what's Really Funny (NOT REALLY AT ALL!) ? They just had a National commercial on the Dallas vs Philly game for Destiny Taken King. A game that is Very Broken ,& they are (Bungie /Activision) still trying to milk money out of New Victims. LMFAO :( Why don't you FIX THE FREAKING GAME " FIRST"!!! Then maybe put out more advertisement , For One That BLOODY WORKS!!!! Also,here is an Idea , How about you let us play the finished game First ,for let's say ,even an hour ,to make sure it is worth are Hard Earned ,misplaced money.? Hell, you Don't buy a car without a test drive! Which doesn't have to be Paid for ,before you can get an idea of what you are buying!!! One more thing, have a return policy, that is worth its weight in gold. No run around ,No BS,& No EXCUSES!!! I mean crap, we can't even get a response! If you have a good product, There wouldn't be a need to be so damn shady!!! WE ARE YOUR CUSTOMERS ,YOUR INCOME, NOT YOUR PREPAID GUINEA PIGS!!! Also, for any idiots who will say we should have known better , we had all the info,try to relate this to some poor third world issue(completely NOT what this subject is about) , or should have read the fine print ,Shut your Hole, have some compassion,get a Clue/ education,& Don't spew out legalities ,that you may have heard on a TV show,or from someone else, that hasn't been to an accredited law school for that matter!! There, I hope that covered most bases,but I'm sure it won't please some people & honestly your probably Not part of a realistic world anyway. Do I sound angry, Yes You're Right!! I had other games/dlc's , that would be well worth the money, the time, & that I can actually play when I buy I purchase them! ( " Projekt CD Red " for example." The Witcher 3" for example. Smaller budget , Great game! Some bugs, but were/are addressed , acknowledged, fixed) They realize who pays there bills, and have a Great Respect for their customer base.

  • I bought the taken king legendary edition on disk for xbox 360 I got on my xbox one and it say I don't havd taken king dlc I do on 360 don't I really gotta buy it again thought sent I got it on xbox 360 it carry over the taken king to my xbox one

        I recently completed the Boolean Gemini exotic quest line but I didn't receive the weapon if anyone knows why please respond.

        • After the The Taken King update I lost all my weapons in my access vault. Now a couple of days later another update and I lost all my bounties and 2 them was exotic weapon bounty

        • I have 2 xbox 360 consoles and I have found a way to play TTK on both with multiple accounts on one of them. This requires that one of your consoles has 2 controllers because you will need to sign in with the profile that purchased TTK and the one playing at the same time temporarily. This is what I did. I started the game up under the other profile (my son's). TTK says need to purchase...yadda yadda. I then used the second controller to sign in with purchasing profile (mine). TTK purchase no longer required and he can now start playing TTK content. Sign out of purchasing profile (mine) and go sign in on other xbox with purchasing profile (mine) and play together. It seems that once TTK is unlocked by purchasing profile it stays unlocked even though purchasing profile signs out for the session. Annoying but it seems to work.

Called to tell me, "Per Bungie, not XBox, Bungie has stated they will require purchase of TTK digital download for each seperate account even if on the same console ." Now my work around still works so I am not going ballistic but that does sound like it contradicts license agreement language people are showing online.

              • I'm losing sound effects and dialogue in the Tower. I'll load in and most of my sound is gone. This happens in the Tower, not the Vestian Outpost. Prison of Elders has this issue too.

                  • I still have not received my additional pre-order weapons packs. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the taken king and pre-order items both and still no luck. Is there an ETA on when this might be fixed? All that aside, love the game!

                      • I bought the Taken King dlc ,against my better judgement,figuring I give this franchise one more shot to prove that everyone has some issues the first year. I even upgraded the game to Xbox One from Xbox 360. I now have installed ,uninstalled ,& reinstalled the Destiny Legendary version TTK on my XBOX ONE 3 times now . It has gone way above my normal data usage for a month, & spending days watching this thing try to load. I have 30MB+ down load & 6 MB Up. I have checked my router/modem, done speed test on my Xbox,PC,& phone, called the cable company, & so on. Everytime I go to the Tower or the Reef ,I get booted like clockwork every 5 min.However, I did try to run a mission though ,& for some reason almost made it all the way through , without getting a Caterpillar,or a freaking Chicken. From what I've read & heard from Gamestop , I'm not the only one having these problems ,by a long shot. What I want to know, as well as many others, is A.) What are you doing to fix this issue? B.) Are you going to fix this issue anytime soon? C.) When am I going to be able to play my unplayable game that I just wasted more money on? I would appreciate a valid response ,& acceptable remedy to this situation ,in a reasonable amount of time. PS Is there anyone working on the weekend at Bungie? If so ,Please acknowledge ,& at least address the issue. Thank You, A Very UnHappy Gamer!

                        • My brother bought the taken king (on the same Xbox as me) and I have no access to the content. I do not understand and hope I do not lose access to any year 1 guardian rewards (old guard shader, ravensteel sparrow, Suros package, and the deceptive engram). I am dissatisfied and would like this to be worked out! Please help!
