[BUNGIE] Destiny: The Taken King Vital Information (UPDATED)

Hello! This post is dedicated to keeping you up-to-date on information regarding Destiny: The Taken King. This includes purchasing, any issues that may arise, and links to new Help articles. [u][b]9/15 NOTES:[/b] [/u] • Xbox 360 players: If you purchased any digital version of Destiny: The Taken King and are encountering issues launching it, please perform the following steps: -[url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12539]Clear your console cache[/url] -[url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12181]Restore the licenses on your console[/url] -Launch the application purchased via Xbox Marketplace (Xbox Dashboard -> Games -> My Games -> Launch) -Once all eligible offers have finished installing, relaunch Destiny [b]We reached a working resolution with Microsoft for this Xbox 360 issue. Any Xbox 360 players who experience error code 80070057 after purchasing Destiny: The Taken King, please contact Xbox support for the best resolution.[/b] • Xbox 360 players who wish to purchase Destiny: The Taken King ($40 USD) can do so via the in-game prompt on the Director. This upgrade will not be available on the Xbox Marketplace, only the Legendary Edition and the full Collector's Edition. • Some users are reporting that the Golden Chest count was reset on their Moments of Triumph at 2am PDT. We are actively investigating. • We are aware of an issue that Crucible rank package display as "Vanguard". These are, in fact, Crucible packages and will give Crucible rewards. •The Suros Arsenal weapons and Vanguard Weapon Pack Items can be found at the Vanguard Quartermaster, located in the Tower Hangar. • The Digital Collector's Edition Upgrade ($20) may not be available for purchase at this time. The add-on is already there for bundle purchasers, just give it a marketplace listing and there you go! You know how the 360 marketplace works, you spent the better part if five years with that infrastructure so don't go and make things difficult now. I want to give you money, it's just the amount of money would be just a teensy tiny bit too much considering I already own literally everything else in the bundle after buying the Legendary Edition at retail at launch, fully intending to upgrade it. Then you pull this and announce it a day after the fact? Dearie me. It's not good enough.

  • I pre ordered the taken king and was able to use my pre order bonuses and now (started yesterday) it won't let me use them, would like to know what's going on with my stuff

  • I didn't get any of the VIP rewards or any of the suros weapons/gear. I purchased the original Legendary edition for Destiny and had both expansions already so I definitely qualified according to the VIP info but I never got anything or any thing but the class shaders and class item from TTK for xbox one. The VIP quest wasn't available.

So I Uninstalled the bonus to try and redownload it, but it won't let me unless I buy the Collector's edition upgrade. My gamertag is Isamu Contarus on Xbox one, please help

    • I have a very frustrating problem with the 2.0.0.4 update. When I launch destiny and start it up, it takes me to the update loading screen but doesn't make any progress in downloading. I checked my internet and it was perfectly fine. I also tried to change my DNS settings but this didn't do anything to help either. Anyone know how I can fix this?

My other 2 characters before I worked on my hunter were already in the 30's I worked on my hunter rather than wait however long. Bungie can we players get something else rather than have a useless spark of light fill up their vault.

      • Hello again Bungie, ttk collectors edition , all my collector edition items still don't work. Did all the trouble shooting per you instructions. I feel at this point it is a waste of my time to have to keep posting or calling microsoft to get this resolved. I would rather be playing the amazing game you all created .         • It's been a while and I'm sure there are a lot of things being sorted out, but just wanted to chime in here and say I still haven't received my Titan exotic class item/shader/emote from the Postmaster for TTK Digital Collector's edition. I've actually had a number of problems with the Postmaster lately and I haven't received anything I should have for inputting codes (i.e. Pirate Day).
