[BUNGIE] Destiny: The Taken King Vital Information (UPDATED)

Hello! This post is dedicated to keeping you up-to-date on information regarding Destiny: The Taken King. This includes purchasing, any issues that may arise, and links to new Help articles. Stay tuned to this post for updates and new information. [u][b]9/15 NOTES:[/b] [/u] • Xbox 360 players: If you purchased any digital version of Destiny: The Taken King and are encountering issues launching it, please perform the following steps: -[url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12539]Clear your console cache[/url] -[url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12181]Restore the licenses on your console[/url] -Launch the application purchased via Xbox Marketplace (Xbox Dashboard -> Games -> My Games -> Launch) -Once all eligible offers have finished installing, relaunch Destiny [b]We reached a working resolution with Microsoft for this Xbox 360 issue. Any Xbox 360 players who experience error code 80070057 after purchasing Destiny: The Taken King, please contact Xbox support for the best resolution.[/b] • Xbox 360 players who wish to purchase Destiny: The Taken King ($40 USD) can do so via the in-game prompt on the Director. This upgrade will not be available on the Xbox Marketplace, only the Legendary Edition and the full Collector's Edition. • Some users are reporting that the Golden Chest count was reset on their Moments of Triumph at 2am PDT. We are actively investigating. • We are aware of an issue that Crucible rank package display as "Vanguard". These are, in fact, Crucible packages and will give Crucible rewards. •The Suros Arsenal weapons and Vanguard Weapon Pack Items can be found at the Vanguard Quartermaster, located in the Tower Hangar. • The Digital Collector's Edition Upgrade ($20) may not be available for purchase at this time. We are aware of this issue and are actively investigating. [b] 9/16 UPDATE - This offer should now be available to all eligible players in all eligible regions. [b][u]9/24 NOTES[/u][/b] • We have fixed an issue with Year 1 Moments of Triumphs in which the Golden Chest node completions were disappearing after the Destiny: The Taken King release. • We have fixed an issue where players who reached Level 40 before turning in the Reach Level 30 objective did not properly receive the Level 40 quest. [b][UPDATE 9/28][/b] [u][b]9/27 NOTES[/b][/u] • Bungie is aware of reports that players are experiencing Audio issues when playing various modes in Destiny, and currently investigating. • There have been reports of players losing access to their Suros Emblem, Shader, and Weapons. Bungie is aware and currently investigating this matter. [b][UPDATE 9/28][/b] [u][b]9/28 NOTES[/b][/u] • Issues impacting the Hakke/Suros Arsenal Packs have been resolved. Installation of the Suros Arsenal Pack or Hakke Weapons Pack may be required: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/13507 [u][b]9/29 NOTES[/b][/u] • The Nightfall reward “Radiant Light” has been retired. In its place, Vanguard Streaks can be earned by players in strike playlists for a chance at more rewards.   • So, I pre-ordered the digital download on my xbox 360 and everything went well and seems to be working. The one thing that I do not see is the Weapons Pack everyone is complaining about. I have been to the post office and the Vanguard Quartermaster as suggested many, many times. Nothing has shown up. What is the deal with this? All I ever see is the stupid solution to go to the Vanguard Quartermaster. Am I the only one that cannot see or purchase the weapons?

  • Cant play ttk on my xbox after purchase and download tried all your hot fixes but I cant play. Me and my brother bought ttk on our xbox though his account. He has access to ttk but I dont and I should according to usage restrictions.

  • Hello all After getting annoyed after 2 days of not being able to play a nice person at Microsoft helped me out. In the UK we got a Destiny disc and 2 codes one for Expansion 1 and 2 and one for the taken king. It turns out that the codes are the wrong way round and the code that says its expansion 1 and 2 is actually the taken king code I never used it as I though it was for expansion 1 and 2 which I already had. Willing to post a pic if bungie want one to confirm

  • I purchased the collectors edition on PS4 and pre ordered from gamestop. I went to the Vanguard Quarter Master and not sure what the Suros arsenal pack is supposed to contain. It didn't give me any guns..there are just some green uncommon guns for sale and then legendary guns for legendary marks. Am I missing something here? I checked my add ons and it says it was installed

  • So i live in australia, and preorder the ttk in ebgames - gamespot aussie version, and was told that an email was sent from my bungie email in order to redeem my suros arsenal pack, however still day 3 and no code yet in my email and can confirm with 2 of my other friends who also preorder the suros arsenal pack Ps plz help

    I still cannot get to even the main menu screen, instead I get a message saying "Something bad has happened" and get kicked back to my console's menu. This has been happening since last week on Monday Sept. 7th. I have spent hours with Xbox support ruling out my disc copy of Destiny or any fault with the console itself. As a day one player, I am quite disappointed in the lack of any response to this issue. I know that others have had the same issue on other platforms as well. What will it take to get a resolution on this issue?

  • I am doing the Eris Morin quest to find Calcified Fragments and it says to collect 5. I found them and returned to the Tower to complete this part of the quest. It gave me my reward and it just ended. I looked online and there are a lot more Calcified Fragments to collect but it appears this quest might be bugged. Any help or updates would be great!

  • Hey my brother's xbox 360 account (neonskullseeker) keeps crashing but ONLY when he uses his nightstalker class. The game will suddenly just freeze all together and he'll have to restart his console. Its bad enough to where its nearly unplayable. We tried on my xbox and my disc same thing. Doesnt happen with his bladedancer or gunslinger class equipped. And if it helps it seems the only place it doesnt crash while on the nightstalker is on patrol on the dreadnought. Hes pretty bummed that he cant use his new class so bungie your help would be greatly appreciated.

    • Is anyone still having the problem on xbox where it says unavailable to buy the digital edition of ttk i tried everything and i cannot purchase it. I have both dlcs and i even went into the game's map clicked on the icon and tried to purchase it and when i pressed it nothing happened someone plz help

      • Seriously that is so unfair. The whole point of the digital collector's edition upgrade was so everyone could get the stuff without buying old content again and then on the day of the release you just said -blam!- you to all the 360 players. What the heck.

          Dear Bungie, HELP! I have multiple xbox live accounts on my xbox 360. Both are gold. I downloaded TTK digital ($40) using money in my live account and it is listed as saved to my 360 hardrive. I can play TTK on one account and I think it is absolutely amazing so far. I love Destiny and have been looking forward to TTK since it was first announced. However, even though it is listed as on my xbox hardrive, I can not play TTK on my 2nd account. I can access Destiny and both its expansions, but it still says I need TTK. My brother and I both use these two separate accounts and so I want to be able to play on both accounts. How can I fix it so that my xbox recognizes TTK on my hardrive so my brother and I can BOTH play it? Thank you.

          • SERIOUSLY, is anyone else having issues getting glimmer out of enemies, I've done numerous missions for the taken king so far and the only time I get glimmer is with wax idols or stuff like that? Also, do you have to complete taken king for the complete strike list?

              • my problem with the game is that once i pick a planet and flying to it the game will freeze then give me an unable to read disk error on a digital copy . sometimes i can land on a planet then it will lock up . i play on the 360 and the one .i bought the digital game and season pass & ttk . i have cleared the cache every time it locks up and reinstalled 4 /5 times no luck . need a fix pls ??????? tks

                HELP!! I pre-ordered TTK on 8/31 for $43.29, but when i start destiny it says i still need to purchase it. Also, I followed the instructions above but it still isn't working. Is there anythimg else I have to do?
