Three-and-a-half months spent designing and building it, plus another three months waiting to print it. In the end, my Autodesk magnum opus is complete.
I'm trying to decide wether or not to name it a V-12 or V-10.

Another thing I designed, it's my very own Marathon (Bungie) keychain: http://i.imgur.com/8HUzY5V.jpg
EDIT: Since some of you have been asking, yes some detail was lost in the printing process. Here is the 3D model (keep in mind that this isn't 100% real life accuracy, it's just my own design): http://i.imgur.com/U73roxT.jpg

Edited by Space Whale: 9/16/2015 10:06:59 PMThat looks grayt! I've dabbled with 3D software, but never actuwhaley printed any of it. Did you just use Maya for all of it?

Edited by WalterWhiteVevo: 9/16/2015 12:35:43 AMI don't mean to hate on your creation it's actually quite nice, but it would probably take me a week (3 days if I was really rushing) to create it in that detail. Was there a lot of detail that was omitted due to the size of the printer or is that how you designed it
-
That thing doesn't look to hot. Maybe lukewarm at best.
-
why didn't you make something cooler?
-
Did you use one of those 3D printer pens? If not then you have a bad printer
-
Damn that seriously took 6 months dude? We 3d print more complicated stuff that big at work and it might take a week tops. Is there a shitload of detail I'm not seeing?
-
Awesome! Next do a top fuel dragster! But damn your printer sucks! But hey it doesn't need to be good, I assume you're just doing this to learn. Keep it up!
-
Like, the pepperoni?

"You wouldn't download a car, would you?!"
-
That's awesome. I wish I had a 3D printer

-
That's so amaazing
-
You need a better 3D printer, that's pretty messy. Pretty good effort though.
-
Dope!
-
Neat. Will you sand+paint it?
-
Is it fragile?
-
Still better than anything I can do
