I've been reading the new grimoire cards and I've been seeing a repeating word in the cards about Oryx. "Truth"
Possible TTK spoilers ahead
from Oryx, Rebuked-
Oryx is the wielder and the servant of a terrible truth. He has predicated Himself on it, He has pursued across thousands of cairn worlds His quest to embody it, and you have seen the force of that truth expended to create these Taken.
from Oryx, Defeated
Death is the last part of living
and life is learning to die
The song is the same as the singing
The last truth commands me
to eat all the light in the sky
From Echo of Oryx
The echoes of Oryx go forth to ask a question: are you the truth? And that means — well. You see, I’m sure.
What could this mean?

Speeding up the process I guess. But then why is he so pissed off that we killed his son?

Everything is going to die eventually. So why not help it along? (That's what I got from it)

I think the truth can be taken as two things, ultimately falling under one concept. Oryx uses his wars as a tribute to his sister, and to prove the ultimate truth of the universe. This truth includes the extermination of all species weaker than the Hive, and the eventual end of all things. The second would be the truth that, if there is to be one definitive king or race at the end of the universe, it could possibly not be the hive. He asks, will you be the truth that proves him right, turning him into worm food? Both of these truths lead to the concept that the deep will spread no matter who uses it.

We are killing machines. Performing systematic genocide on these races. We woke up in the middle of a fight we don't know much about, except they are a threat and we must destroy them. Maybe the fight isn't as black and white as it seems. Regardless I'm gonna wear Oryx's ass like a hat ;)

If you read the Book Of Sorrow cards you will feel bad for the Hive the Ahmkara the winged worms caused all of this.
