Dinklage was sooooo much better! People moaning that Dinklage underplayed it, but it was subtlety he was playing, as he is an ai ROBOT after all.
I know Nolan makes more sense as its his business and he's more readily available but now it sounds so cheep and over done. He sounds like he's permanently questioning himself. Ha
Peter Dinklage was awesome! If it ain't broke don't fix it!
But all the fussy childish players out there who thought "well it could be better", nagged away endlessly at Bungie, and Dinklage (which pissed me off) until we all get stuck with this shit "performance" (if that's what you wanna call it).
And now all the people who were amongst the bitchy little whine a lots that caused this mess, have realised that they should've been happy with a good thing and not chased after the mythical "perfect".
At least give us a setting to switch between the two voices for year 1 content so we have a choice!!!

Rant over.
EDIT - Wow THANKS for all the support guys!!! This post is blowing up! I had no idea that (near) EVERYONE else felt as strongly about this as me.
Thank you to all Guardians, keep the replies coming and maybe Bungie will add the voice toggle switch so we can have our little Dinklebot back for year one content.
Keep strong and I'll see you star side! =D

Edited by TheArtist: 9/14/2015 2:00:35 PMDinklage has the better voice. But Noland is---far and away----the better voice actor. The difference is jarring at first. Both because of the difference in voice....but also because Noland embues the Ghost with a very different personality. Dinklage played the Ghost as some sort of schizo combination of C3P0's anxious fretfullness....and R2-D2's over-the-top bravado. The problem with that approach, is that you always HAVE to have the two together--in two SEPERATE PEOPLE----for that to work. It doesn't work in a single person. It doesn't make any sense that he's panicky when the Hive come pouring out of the Temple of Crota, and when we first encounter the Vex.....but then downright sardonic when we first encouter the Cabal ( Well I guess THAT must have been their failsafe). North plays the Ghost more like a "pocket Indiana Jones". A very intellectual....but consistently brave companion. But one given to moments of black humor (Snakes? Why did it have to be snakes??) . You don't hear the anxiety that you hear in Dinklage's voice when his Ghosts asks, "Can't we just stay here with the murderous robots?" Its more gallows humor. The same gallows humor you hear when playing the Garden Spire mission, and the Ghost has to open the door at the back of the Iron Line...and North Ghost says, "I best getting working on opening that door. YOU MIGHT WANT TO STAND BACK, YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN i OPEN DOORS...." Give it time. My intial gut-reaction to North's performance was "I don't like it". But it was mainly that I don't care for high-pitched, nasal voices. Though once I got past that bias, I could see that he was doing a MUCH better job of bringing the Ghost to life than Dinklage did. ...and I think he's the better choice going forwards.
