You won't be able to start the nightfall until you are level 40. First check the stuff the vendors have. Gain reputation for possible nice and new legendary drops from the factions, cryptarch etc. Start the story, get all new sublasses, level all 3 chars to level 40, Nightfall etc. and prepare for Friday to beat the mofo Oryx. Thats what I will do in the first week ;)
