You're actually missing out on a lot of the game if you only run one char.

A different character offers a different experience considering each class has different abilities. You are severely limiting yourself to the same experience over and over with just one character.

1/3 exotic armor available, 2 trophies/achievements you cannot earn, all kinds of subclass-specific stuff is impossible

Not at all. I have no interest in Warlock and Titan content. I wouldn't care if it was in game or not.

Each character performs a specific role in end game content. If you don't run all 3 you are hurting your clan in my opinion.
