What exactly is the taken king?
Is the taken king meant to be an add-on for the game or a sequel of sorts? Considering the fact that destiny is an mmo I'm willing to accept either answer but I still want to know which it is. Can somebody answer this for me?

It's meant to be both. It's dlc but leaves off where you killed Crota. Now Oryx is pissed that you killed his son and wants revenge.
