Dinklage was sooooo much better! People moaning that Dinklage underplayed it, but it was subtlety he was playing, as he is an ai ROBOT after all.
I know Nolan makes more sense as its his business and he's more readily available but now it sounds so cheep and over done. He sounds like he's permanently questioning himself. Ha
Peter Dinklage was awesome! If it ain't broke don't fix it!
But all the fussy childish players out there who thought "well it could be better", nagged away endlessly at Bungie, and Dinklage (which pissed me off) until we all get stuck with this shit "performance" (if that's what you wanna call it).
And now all the people who were amongst the bitchy little whine a lots that caused this mess, have realised that they should've been happy with a good thing and not chased after the mythical "perfect".
At least give us a setting to switch between the two voices for year 1 content so we have a choice!!!

Rant over.
EDIT - Wow THANKS for all the support guys!!! This post is blowing up! I had no idea that (near) EVERYONE else felt as strongly about this as me.
Thank you to all Guardians, keep the replies coming and maybe Bungie will add the voice toggle switch so we can have our little Dinklebot back for year one content.
Keep strong and I'll see you star side! =D

It's natural to like Dinklage better, it's like saying that Sean Connery was the only "real" James Bond, because he originated the role. I personally like the two in different ways, at different times. I liked the way North handled the end, Ghost actually sounded excited and elated that light was returning to the Traveler. Admittedly, I liked Dinklage's annoyed "Don't do that." when the player called him "Little Light". And he sounded more robotic, appropriate since he was playing an A.I. -- the Exo characters sound similar. Which I liked better is harder to answer. It is also completely irrelevant, because let me tell you what I REALLY disliked: having Ghost fall silent throughout the entire Dark Below DLC. Also, having him remain so in House of Wolves. I liked Eris, I really liked Variks. But it was TOTALLY immersion-breaking to have my longtime companion/guide suddenly reduced to a walkie-talkie becauise Peter Dinklage wasn't available to record a few more lines. THAT was unacceptable. And, having Ghost speak with two different voices at different times would have been even more unacceptable. Bungie understood this. They understood that since it was impossible to keep Dinklage in for the long haul, they had two choices: eliminate Ghost as a character, or totally overwrite Dinklage's version. Given how time-consuming and expensive it was, I doubt it was a decision they made lightly. And if it had been feasible for them to retain Dinklage, I think they would have done so. And if he had been able/willing to do his damn job, I would have been willing to have him back. But he wasn't. Nolan North is very different as Ghost, I won't deny it. But he is also a longtime veteran of the gaming industry, and he undoubtedly understands that he's in this for the long haul: DLC's, sequels, whatever. Hopefully, when the rumored Vex DLC comes to us later on, our chatty "little light" will be at our side, giving us his take on the situation.
