It's great because it's the only mode you can play and not take seriously.
I gives me the same vibe as playing Action Sack in Halo 3

I know right I love it its nice to not have a goal or something to focus on u literally go in and blow shit up I think mayhem is what's been missing from crucible and when I wanna get sweaty I can always hit trials......when it comes back lol
