Greetings! also, TGIF.
Today we'll discuss $20 for emotes, and tacos.
Whenever I think of money, I think of tacos. It's a very easy way to think "is that worth buying?" For example, are those shoes worth 100 tacos? The answer is no, I'd rather wear $5 generic shoes WHILE EATING 100 TACOS.
This brings us to the $20 Collectors Edition Digital Upgrade.
Imagine all of the dancing you've done in Destiny. All the times you've waved at someone you quick scoped. All the times you've had an ether chest pointed out to you. All the times you've sat on your friends ghost after you pushed him off the cliff in VoG.
After I thought about this, and remembered all of those glorious moments, I came to the conclusion that now I need 20 tacos. The new emotes do seem worth 20 tacos, and so does 20 tacos. The only logical thing I can do now, is buy the new emotes, and 20 tacos.
TTK will certainly be better while eating the tacos and dancing in the tower. It'd be nice if Bungie could give us a taco emote, shader, and class item, though. I would THROW TACOS AT MY SCREEN FOR THE TAKEN TACO COLLECTORS EDITION. Something you should bring to the marketing team, Cozmo.
Don't let other people tell you how to spend your tacos. If new emotes are worth their weight in tortilla, go for it! If they aren't, more tacos to ya.
This post was inspired by my being at Taco Bell right now and some other post belittling people that bought the CE.
Edited by Celoxamortis: 9/11/2015 11:41:57 PMBut... there's a hidden digestive cost to tacos you're leaving out! Especially Taco Bell tacos. Edit: On a serious note, I've seen the class items and while the XP and subclass leveling bonus is nice, I kinda expected the items to be at least 190-200 defense in order to last briefly in the early 40 end game. Unfortunately, they're only 170, which means they're almost obsolete out of the box. You'll get replacements with better defense stats before you even hit 40, and when you hit 40 they will drag down your overall light average. Unless you manage to get your entire subclass leveled by 40 (unlikely over only 6 levels), the class items don't seem worth the cost. Can't speak to the emotes.
