Dumb question here but, don't you have to know the distance of the dreadnought from the rings before you can make your other calculations?
What you're seeing is a matter of perspective from where your standing. I'm shitty at math but, I'm pretty sure you need to known factors to extrapolate the size. You've only got one.

The displacement of the rings would most likely suggest that it is embedded within the rings and not above.
