So recently i heard some rather disturbing facts. 23% of people on these forums have beaten Crota's on hard.
This leaves a staggering 77% of people who i would not feel comfortable gaming with for end game content.
Not to mention those who haven't downed Skolas
I've been labeled an elitists before and probably will be labeled the same again but I'd rather winners had my back as opposed to well... Losers.
Therefore Laurea Prima will be my gold standard for this year.
Edit: Thanks for all the support. Laurea Prima will be the one downing Oryx first! See all you champions on the Dreadnaught!
Edit: I've had many the conversation about how people have dropped Skolas and they wonder if that qualifies. In my eyes yes. Skolas is the most recent test of skill and therefore a good measurement.
Edit: You don't have to wear the badge to be Fireteam material. Just have it.
Edit: According to all those out there who "just dont care" to fight the bosses. In your world Skolas breaks free. Crota destroys the Earth, or Atheon rips the timeline in half. Why even play then?
Edit: This is not directed at those just picking up the game, as pointed out in the post, I'm disappointed by Year Ones and the general lack of motivation.
Edit: I was asked for an image of the emblem. There it is in all it's glory.

I've come close to beating Skolas several times. My Fireteam ends up quitting or needing to leave. As of right now, it's just too much work for so little reward

SPOILER ALERT! MILDLY ELITIST REPLY TO FOLLOW: . . . . . Tbh I don't think it's fair to say someone has "beaten Crota" unless they've ran the sword. Hell, everyone except the swordbearer is just a rocket jockey that pretty much stands in the back waiting to shoot on command. PERSONALLY, when I'm running Crota, the swordbearer is rarely the one that dies and causes a wipe. Just my 2cents on this...

I don't like to be elitist but if you haven't beaten both of the raids on hard you shouldn't join my team those raids are easy
-
where do people get these statistics? But seriously we should have a clan named after the emblem
-
After every failed VoG attempt I've had from LFG the past few months, I totally understand. People don't even know how to play PoE anymore. Sad but true.

Edited by sayrey89: 9/12/2015 5:55:00 AMNo emblem would make me want to go into a raid with someone with a raid KD like yourself...smh... Edit: 38 total completions and you act like an elitist? Really?

Same! bump!
-
I don't care so if you join my fire team as a level two with a good attitude toward others I'll take you over some self intitled jerk who's level 40 and has the emblem.
-
I'm happy to help noobs through Crota.. Check stays :)
-
Laurea Prima wasn't hard to obtain. Completing all the end game activities is IMO the best part of this game. IAnyways I will equip mine when I get it bit once the novelty wears off it will be on to the next one.

Elitist...I'd say no. You're just finding another way to try and measure someone's experience in the game. First it was level, then it was the emblem, DTR and other stats from Destiny Tracker for ToO. Lastly, some began to use Grimore. I feel there is no true way to measure someone's experience in this game because there is no reliable way verify experience. Keep in mind all the carries offered by streamers, friends, and the worst one, the pay sites for trips to the lighthouse. They got the emblems, but get destroyed in Skirmish and can't hold their own in PoE. The same has been done for VoG, CE, and Skolas. The rest of the requirements are too easy for the emblem. Lastly, not all avid Destiny players use this site! There are some, who wouldn't come within a mile of the Bnet forums. So my point is, trying to use the MoT emblem as a measuring tool for experience may not yield the results you are looking for. But in the end, you game as you wish...just my thoughts though.

Plot twist, full team of people who didn't get moments of triumph are the first to down oryx.
-
I feel like here was very low incentive to complete skolas, even I only did it 1-2 times because I didn't feel it was worth it. And I've done VoG 20+ times just because it's fun.
-
That's the emblem for downing all endgame year 1 content right? Proud owner, right here. Bring on the 15th.
-
People call you an elitist? I'd say other names would be more fitting. I beat Crota on hard. Never cared to beat Skolas. Beat Atheon a few dozen times. Wold u pls paly wit meh

Edited by R3mOt3K1ll4: 9/12/2015 5:29:03 AMIs that the emblem bungie gives out? Edit: Never mind, i didn't know that was the name if the Triumphs emblem...
-
I have all the requirements for that emblem except it is a noob emblem.
-
Agree
-
What's a Skolas?
-
Can anyone reply with a Lenny pls?
-
Agree.

Edited by The Lemming King: 9/12/2015 3:32:59 AMLaurea Prima will have no significance on their knowledge of the raid. Hue hue hue. If you're gonna set a standard for people why not one more reasonable like a raid K/D of 10.0+. Not a stupid emblem. Edit: Setting standards for people is stupid. So is being an elitist ass when you have shit tier stats.
-
Now that you say it... I think you're right D: what have I become...
-
Better judgement would be who has triumphs for PvE and who has lighthouse for PvP. I am a PvE player and know ppl who could carry me to the lighthouse but to me that's kinda a lie and -blam!-ed up for me to rep it.
