Laurea Prima = Fireteam
So recently i heard some rather disturbing facts. 23% of people on these forums have beaten Crota's on hard.
This leaves a staggering 77% of people who i would not feel comfortable gaming with for end game content.
Not to mention those who haven't downed Skolas
I've been labeled an elitists before and probably will be labeled the same again but I'd rather winners had my back as opposed to well... Losers.
Therefore Laurea Prima will be my gold standard for this year.

Edit: I've had many the conversation about how people have dropped Skolas and they wonder if that qualifies. In my eyes yes. Skolas is the most recent test of skill and therefore a good measurement.
Edit: You don't have to wear the badge to be Fireteam material. Just have it.
Edit: According to all those out there who "just dont care" to fight the bosses. In your world Skolas breaks free. Crota destroys the Earth, or Atheon rips the timeline in half. Why even play then?
Edit: This is not directed at those just picking up the game, as pointed out in the post, I'm disappointed by Year Ones and the general lack of motivation.

I think OP is trying to say that the fireteams that he takes into the new raid needs to be experienced in end game content which is understandable. Once the raids tactics are worked out and we'll known it will be time for all the casuals to experience it. While I think everyone should try raiding I understand that it's not for everyone. It takes basic skill but more teamwork communication and patiance then anything. Not everyone has this skill set.

Some people have jobs and families. You're assuming everyone is free to spend lots of time playing. I haven't downed Skolas and it doesn't make me less of a player. I just choose to spend my time elsewhere. Considering yourself an "elite" player just means you have more time to play the game; good for you. Don't belittle other people because they choose live a life that is fulfilling in other ways. I will always choose to spend time with my wife over playing xbox

2 RepliesMakes sense since a majority of the best players will have it, but there will also be an influx of those that got carried for them in the Mix. As long as players are competent and have decent light level gear, I wouldn't mind running the new raid with them after I've already done it with my main fireteam.

10 Replieslol sorry but your nothin but a third rate hack. . i didnt need my stats to solo normal and hard crota and i only need 4 people to beat normal and hard atheon. i had a good team who listened in trials which is why i went flawles at least 15 times. and i sure as hell didnt need my stats to solo skolas on all 3 characters. if any of you guys need help on crota atheon or skolas add me on ps3 at ZACK_FAIR_24

There's some people that understand the mechanics fairly quickly even if they're new. I'm not going to judge them if they have the emblem or not. I'll judge how they play.

1 ReplyIn my experience, players that have prerequisites to join their fireteam are generally not very good themselves. At this stage the raids are pretty simple....rather than excluding players for their lack of experience, I calmly explain the fight mechanics and show a bit of patience.

That number is messed up because that's including the people that started up the game and didn't like it which is quite a few I'm guess the majority of people that still play this game have beaten crota and skolas id say it's probably in the 60s

That's just flippin' silly. Not to mention your lack of total completions. You really shouldn't come with ridiculous requirements when you're so lacking in experience yourself.

I'm pretty good, but I'm no pvp master or a professional. But every time I play endgame, I learn a little more. And eventually I'll start leading my own teams. But it takes time, and I think you should help facilitate that since you are good at it. It'll help the community (and the game) in the long run.

Eh... One of my very best Skolas experienced was with two squeakers who never beat him before. I guided them--they were inexperienced but obedient and willing to take orders and we got it on the first try. Which is more than I can say for the majority of so-called veterans who flaunt their Skolas emblems when they know that they just got lucky or carried. Keep an open mind OP. I hear what you're saying but it's not really accurate.

3 RepliesThe emblem don't mean nothing, u can carry someone dead through hard crota and hard Atheon, and even I was taken through skolas first time after no burns patch, by 2 very good players, and then to top it off doing dead orbit quest in crucible against players with their exotic trials emblem and they were worse at crucible than me and I'm not very good, so just goes to show that emblem don't mean anything
