So recently i heard some rather disturbing facts. 23% of people on these forums have beaten Crota's on hard.
This leaves a staggering 77% of people who i would not feel comfortable gaming with for end game content.
Not to mention those who haven't downed Skolas
I've been labeled an elitists before and probably will be labeled the same again but I'd rather winners had my back as opposed to well... Losers.
Therefore Laurea Prima will be my gold standard for this year.
Edit: Thanks for all the support. Laurea Prima will be the one downing Oryx first! See all you champions on the Dreadnaught!
Edit: I've had many the conversation about how people have dropped Skolas and they wonder if that qualifies. In my eyes yes. Skolas is the most recent test of skill and therefore a good measurement.
Edit: You don't have to wear the badge to be Fireteam material. Just have it.
Edit: According to all those out there who "just dont care" to fight the bosses. In your world Skolas breaks free. Crota destroys the Earth, or Atheon rips the timeline in half. Why even play then?
Edit: This is not directed at those just picking up the game, as pointed out in the post, I'm disappointed by Year Ones and the general lack of motivation.
Edit: I was asked for an image of the emblem. There it is in all it's glory.

I just can't be arsed with skolas.
-
I'm the worst at this game.
im sorry for not living up to your expectations! ;-;
-
I agree 100%. Personally I find the Laura Prima emblem too easy.
-
Meh to me if i like the game i play it i don't focus on doing hard or normal i have fun playing with my friends and yes i do have that emblem but now i only have one friend that still gonna be playing taken king

You seem to forget it will be YOUR first time doing the raid to. What do you expect that this will be the same as crota or VoG. There are new mechanics. And knowing the old ones does not help towards knowing the new ones. (Before you state that I haven't done raids be aware that you're looking at a man who knows every mechanic and cheese in VoG and Crota.)
-
That's my requirement. I don't need any first time raiders in my fireteam slowing us down
-
Don't underestimate rookies. I help them through raids and skolas all the time (I know all the mechanics and get bored so I teach them,) and you'd be surprised how many of them down the boss or skolas the first time. Also keep in mind no one knows Kings Fall mechanics yet so having a noob with a good learning ability and good gunplay is probably better than having a skilled raider that took ages to learn the simple mechanics.

Edited by Atazoth: 9/12/2015 6:12:27 PMIt is a symbol of completing the the hardest part of pve, but I do believe we are going to get a surge of players come the TTK. I would not want to dismiss some new players because of a symbol. Don't forget there are many players that were carried through the raids and skolas, but even so it might be a little comforting seeing another player or two with the emblem on the fireteam.
-
Is that an emblem?
-
Why does beating Crota on hard mean anything special? What's so difficult about being part of a six person fireteam and firing a couple of ghally rounds at Crota? Now if there was something to show you ran sword on Crota hard when you completed it that would be different.
-
Nope. It doesn't make me feel Snowflakish enough. I'm gonna stick with my beta emblem. I'll just let people compare Grimoire Score and they can make their assumptions about me then.
-
My requirement for fireteam: Must have a copy of Destiny (or use someone else's) and have a pulse
-
Edited by YassineE500: 9/12/2015 5:34:25 PMI've done about everything except skolas cuz I havent found the time bc I got the game recently or the right fireteam check my character
-
I find it ironic how the people who have requirements on LFG sites suck. The experience is just terrible. Half the team take it so damn seriously, then proceed to rage quit or just rage in general. And every casual group I go with, it's so damn fun. Even though sometimes we can't even beat it. Funny though. Aren't games supposed to be for entertainment? I'd rather not complete a challenge, but have an incredible time with a group of players wanting to have fun, then a group of serious players who treat the game like a job. Casuals over hardcore I guess. Not to offend anybody, but don't make your requirements ridiculous. I don't think an emblem should be required, I don't think you should have a specific gun.
-
I'm assuming I would be allowed cause the reason I don't have it yet is the stupid public events
-
What's laurea prima? Wtf
-
Oh no I can't be in your fire team because I don't care about golden chests... What a shame :)
-
The bosses are what this game is about.. Also pvp
-
Edited by WithLuvMsWolfie: 9/12/2015 7:41:01 PMI'm better then 80% of people I ever play with (In Crucible) & yet I have not even done 50% of anything on Destiny. A completion & emblem does not make anyone good at all.
-
Edited by ghostRNGR1: 9/12/2015 6:18:30 PMI'll be wearing my Leaura prima emblem just to let people know that I'm experianced Being honest though it doesn't take a lot to form one fire team for hard Crota
-
Remember first week Skolas, with solar, yeah no skill needed there bud.
-
I totally agree. That emblem will be my standard for anyone joining my fireteam. Unless i know them personally and how skilled they are then no but randoms, it's a must.
-
Agreed

"According to all those out there who "just dont care" to fight the bosses. In your world Skolas breaks free. Crota destroys the Earth, or Atheon rips the timeline in half. Why even play then?" You're either 12 years old or a massive nerd.
-
I can't stop laughing at this
-
Atheon did not rip the timestream in half, he is what binds times confluxes together. Crota did not destroy half our world, he invaded the moon and slaughtered 1000 guardians-at the least.
