So recently i heard some rather disturbing facts. 23% of people on these forums have beaten Crota's on hard.
This leaves a staggering 77% of people who i would not feel comfortable gaming with for end game content.
Not to mention those who haven't downed Skolas
I've been labeled an elitists before and probably will be labeled the same again but I'd rather winners had my back as opposed to well... Losers.
Therefore Laurea Prima will be my gold standard for this year.
Edit: Thanks for all the support. Laurea Prima will be the one downing Oryx first! See all you champions on the Dreadnaught!
Edit: I've had many the conversation about how people have dropped Skolas and they wonder if that qualifies. In my eyes yes. Skolas is the most recent test of skill and therefore a good measurement.
Edit: You don't have to wear the badge to be Fireteam material. Just have it.
Edit: According to all those out there who "just dont care" to fight the bosses. In your world Skolas breaks free. Crota destroys the Earth, or Atheon rips the timeline in half. Why even play then?
Edit: This is not directed at those just picking up the game, as pointed out in the post, I'm disappointed by Year Ones and the general lack of motivation.
Edit: I was asked for an image of the emblem. There it is in all it's glory.

Really have to put labels on people dont ya, you big fuking dickbrain. IT'S JUST A FUKING EMBLEM!!! I don't care if people have it or not, and you shouldn't either! Why? Because being an asshole to other guardians because of one little thing is not part of "Becoming Legend" here.

anyone want to help a PS3 casual through skolas?
-
but what if I wear a different emblem and you kick me before I switch to it?

I have a life so I don't put in as much hours on Destiny than others. I would still reck you in any FPS game and would probably be the best player on your fire team. Don't judge by these so called "achievements"

Get your grimoire up first and then you can be an elitist. There's people who'd kick you out because it's not that high. Scrub
-
I can't help but giggle when anyone talks about topics like this. I don't think I would play with you. Ever.
so you don't have to check I haven't beaten skolas. Got there once on a tight schedule and couldn't finish it. Never bothered to go back because I honestly don't care.
-
How are you gonna make sure everyone you play with has it?
-
Yeah I know that emblem seems frivolous but all these people saying Skolas is too hard probably aren't the best to face oryx with
-
Too all those complaining about Grimoire and medal score: does grimoire really matter? If someone has finished everything available to do in year one, should a number determine what people judge them on? My grimoire is not very high, but I've finished everything available in year one. Stop judging people by Grimoire, because they could be better than you.

I couldn't find a fireteam for skolas...
-
I'm the same. If either of the year 1 raids take longer than ONE HOUR, then you are scrub and do not belong in my fireteam. I purposefully look for people who can do a quick run, longer than an hour isn't a quick run.
-
Idk about Crotas end, I've been there done that, but a lot of people took hiatus around HoW, myself included (Bloodborne was out and I had to platinum it!) So by the time I got back, those who stuck on Destiny didn't feel like doing Skolas anymore
-
110% agree with you. Even if you're missing just one chest and you're too LAZY to get it, it shows you lack motivation. I would gladly be a part of your fireteam.

Skolas is a tough one to consider for this I think. Only because the mines can be easy or extremely difficult based on where they drop. I've done it many times of course (pre burn and post burn) but I can see your point. It all depends on what the goal is. If I am interested in carrying some new players through content I will, otherwise I'd do the same.

fair argument, ill respect that

Cool :D

Yawn. Who cares it's just a game.

I've been here since the beta and had my triumphs complete before Bungie even announced it. I'll continue to wear my New Monarchy crown though cause it looks way better, lol

I never did skolas, but I know how to. I just never did braise the rewards are shit

Did Skolas just for the grimoire and 1st year emblem. What a dumb fight, not even fun just stressful.
