On this day in 2001 a world superpower, America was hit by al queda, an extremist group hellbent on the destruction of non believers. This day is seen as a national tragedy and America was brought to its knees after the 3000 died. Kinda weird huh? Lots of countries have had way worst and moved on but America just can't. "But mommy! America is invincible!!!" Said young Timmy, a proud American. But Bush said "NAY TIMMY!" the bi-product of this day is a less free, spying and scared nation.
But really, it's been well over a decade. Move on.
inb4 patriotic mod bans me for this but allows the Hiroshima one
35 people shot dead in Australia -Australia requires a license to own any gun at all. 3000 americans die in a fire -we burn down 2 countries and kill 2 dudes we didnt like anymore (but did like 30 years ago) Nope im still proud to be murican and not Australian. At least we know how to deal with tragedy

I still haven't recovered from the Boston massacre of 1770.

It's a day of remembrance, not happy, not sad we remember. We remember our history to learn from it. We remember our past because we can. We remember lost and loved ones. Some may not get it but your mom, dad, sister, brother, family, friends get to come home. It's a day to remember it is not just for 9/11 victims it for all who suffered a great tragedy in their lives.
