Does anyone else truly hate the new ghosts voice?????
This new ghost's voice is killing me. It sounds like a mix between c3po and the Johnny cab from total recall. Can we get another option?

I thought it'd be awesome Cus he voiced dead pool and dead pool sounded alright. But when they put him into the ghost voice.....sounds like a adolescent child....

Yeah its bad. Dinklebot was fine in my opinion. He might have been monotone but at least he made situations sound dangerous. North just doesn't sound sure.

I think if we had only heard new lines from north we wouldn't have disliked it as much. By replacing dinklebot in the old content the end product will be more uniform but it also highlights the differences, and I think it's the differences that make him seem worse. As I've been playing I've noticed that the quality of north is actually better but it takes getting used to. (Don't get me wrong, when I ran the nightfall this week and first heard the new ghost I wanted to stab my eardrums out, but it's grown on me)

I was doing the mission where the ghost said "you've woken the hive" when I heard the new version I was like wtf is this, I have to say dinklebot was way better

2 RepliesNolan is a better voice actor in general. I never liked his "Deadpool" but all his other stuff I did. The biggest problem is that it's just completely different from what we are used to and the few lines that Dinklebot gave that were epic {It's in the walls/We've woken the Hive/Don't do that/So polite}, we're not delivered the same. These 2 things can lead to a bad first impression for some maybe, even a less masculine voice can too. However, by realizing 2 other things; 1. That the character "Ghost" is for all intents and purposes, had always been intended as a light hearted sidekick (To which Dinklage didn't ever portray properly) & that 2.We would've always been subjected to DLC or expansions that left our Ghost mute with no lines at all. So, it's easier to say we now have a recurring actor that will maintain integrity throughout the entire lifespan of Destiny and the part in question can not only be as originally intended but also rectify any issues some may have with its portrayal as we are used to it. Me personally, with a few lines aside, love North's NoNoBot. It'll pay off in the end. *if we can get used to DinkleBot's horrible situational deliveries, we will get used to NoNoBot as well. Especially seeing as how Nolan makes his living doing what he does. Bungie should have said its cool to not hear the original spoken lines to better give an authenticity to his Ghost, but just listen to these several Epic spoken lines so nobody complains they weren't "Epic" enough. Good for you Nolan...

4 RepliesSeriously all people did was complain about dinklebot being horrible and now they get a new guy, and people still complain. Peter Dinklage was an actor not a voice actor. I've heard plenty of voice actors speak about voice acting to know there is a big difference between both. Nolan North is without a doubt a much better VA then Dinklage. I enjoy him as the ghost and I have to admit he does sound a little like 343 Guilty Spark.

Didn't see anything wrong with Dinklebot myself but then again the ghost plays such a small part really - aside from sending things to kill me every now n then. My buddy and I did have a lot of fun doin our impersonations of the new guy's voice though - might've added a lisp of course.
