Personally, I miss Dinklebot. I'm sure I'll get used to Nolandroid though.

Where is the option for neither?
-
You had a manly voice replaced by a girly one. I absolutely hate it. Why Bungie!? Why?
-
The new ghost voice sounds....how do I say it politically correct....too feminine for a male voice?
-
It's 'Nolandroid', not 'Northbot'.

Edited by GWKangTTV: 9/10/2015 8:01:43 PMI don't like the new ghost voice. It may be an improvement for some but to me it feels like it doesn't belong...it feels like its trying too hard. This ghost voice may be better IF the reworked content involved more interaction with he guardian to warrant his tone of voice and inflections but at the moment it feels weird. Dinklebot matched the lifeless aura of the vanilla game well, he did even have moments with good delivery. Changing voice actors still does not excuse a poor script or execution. For now nolanbot feels like that person in the office that is too happy for no apparent reason...he also feels like he belongs in marvels avengers assemble cartoon in that it feels very kiddy. Edit: It also feels like most of the lines nolanbot delivers to me are questions rather than exposition...like the ghost isn't sure of what it's saying. Compare the "we've awoken the hive" line from both. Dinklebot - oh shit it's the hive, nolanbot - is it the hive? Maybe for destiny 3 in 6 months you could try a different voice, perhaps femshep. Don't jump on the Nolan North train, I'm sure the dude needs a day off every now and then he's busy. Or ask him to do a different voice. The one you have for him right now is not an improvement.

I miss dinklebot. I never had a problem with his performance. He did the best he could with some bad lines. A robot sounds lifeless... ya don't say...................................................

I miss Dinklebot :(

I think the problem people have with Nolandroid is that people have been so used to hearing Dinklage delivering all of the lines. So now that someone new is delivering those same exact lines people will naturally compare Nolan to Dinklage and Dinklage will win simply because that's what we're use to. However, very little people complained when hearing Nolan's voice in Taken King content. I feel as though people will take more kindly to Nolan's performance in Taken King because Dinklage didn't record any lines for it. Thus we wouldn't truly know what Dinklage's performance would've been, so there would be nothing to compare Nolan's voice too. I personally like the new ghost voice...

The Dinklebot voice is more suited for the Ghost persona. The Northdroid voice does not carry the same Ghost advisor tone. I'm sure Northdroid comes from a fine individual and has a great resume, but not for this Ghost role. I think Bungie was in a difficult position to continue the voice of Ghost as the same from launch story into the TTK story. Continue to use Dinklebot but then change to Northdroid in TTK would have been a disjointed experience for new TTK players. So Northdroid repeated all the lines and erased Dinklebot forever. I miss Dinklebot. We should have a kiosk for Dinklebot's voice.

I think they should get a load of other people to record the voice of the Ghost. A bit like a Satnav. Choose your favorite. I want Brian Blessed. I'm imagining him bellowing out the "We've awoken The Hive" line.

I loved Dinklebot's droll, monotone voice. It had a really weird sense of charm that Northbot lacks considerably.
-
I miss dinklebot we need him back. nolandroid is a pice of crap
-
RIP DINKLEBOT!!!!!!
-
my vote goes to peter dinklebot. i do not like the shirt lifters (nolan north) voice at all.
-
Dinkle was way better
-
The script is clearly the problem, not the voice. They should have done a rewrite, not just re-record. Dinklebot was better imo.
-
I love the new voice. He sounds like 343 Guilty Spark. The script is the issue. If he wqs allowed to improv his own lines it would be much better.
-
Bump.
-
Northbot is not a thing. NoNobot is a thing.
-
They're both fine with voice acting (though I'm partial to Tirion), the script seems to be the problem...
-
You don't need to choose. You just need to win.
