Another "I'm leaving post" BUT I do have something to say to those who hate them.
This game is not what I was promised.
What [i][u]We[/u][/i], were promised.
I really do enjoy some of the games mechanics, but unlike other games (made by Bethesda, for example) I don't feel like I really got my money's worth. That's a totally fair complaint.
You may not like to just see people bitching, but 99.9% of that is limited to the feedback forums.
Besides, if you don't like it? Mute it. Freedom of speech. Also, bungie, I'm sure, cares that a clear percentage of their fans are jumping ship.
Want to know why?
The game you love so much, majority of its population?
They'll leave, and your game?
It, [i][u]will[/u][/i] die, without those people to populate the servers (Ha, servers, funny joke, no?) and their money to callously throw at the screen, because they assumed everyone would be "that consumer" simply too dense to look past the foreground.
Edit, for those who wanted my "feedback":
As I've said before in the comments, I really only played this game at all because of certain friends of mine having nothing else to play.
If I ever go back to it, that will be the reason honestly.
This games gunplay is amazing, and I find most of the aesthetics (besides the adamantly re-used weapon models) to be stunning and pleasing to the eye. I also enjoy most of the crucible maps, when I'm not lagging around at the speed of sound that is.
This game is good and some respects, but bad in others. If those who enjoy this game can ignore those flaws? Well, I'd never question it.
This game is fun to people, I know, but, it's not fun to me anymore. It's started to feel like a chore.
Bungie could turn this game around, if only they got:
1. Dedicated servers -
2. We're more involved with the forum community
3. Stopped breaking old promises (taking out old guns after stating they wouldn't want them to be obsolete)
4. Added more character customization so we can feel attached to our guardians.
5. Addressed the fact UK, and AUS players are being over-charged for TTK.

"This isn't what we were promised. Here's a list of things that weren't promised to us that could fix the game and make me stay" This "we were promised" stuff is stupid to say at this point. Not only can no one provide any "promises", but we are a year in. If you're making this point now, you either 1. Are stupid and can't figure out what you like and don't like, or 2. You're just jumping on the bandwagon.

What it often reflects is people trying to find their way through a broken game. Trying to find a reason to keep playing. I for one, have around 700hrs invested about 40 were enjoyable then reality set in. The other 660 were me trying to find a way through my problems with the game and trying to find a reason to keep playing, playing through my season pass. At no time does it reflect a value of enjoyment. You fanboys can't seem to grasp that simple concept.

I don't share your opinion, I will continue to play this game because I enjoy it tremendously. But you have my respect for stating your opinion in a reasonably mature way. May you find another game that's more to your liking.

Think what kind of leadership Bungie has to be to lie to players, sell a incomplete game, steal from employees and on top that Bungie does not support the community. As Bungie ( mark noseworthy said ) they are reading Neo Gaff and Reddit, NEVER did they say the Bungie.net community.

1 ReplyI mean I get it, I do. I'm disappointed with the game myself. Stepped away for a while with no intention of coming back. Honestly though, 2.0 update is the closest I've seen the game to being what was expected and enjoyable. My issue with this post and the many like it recently, is that they have all lost any relevance or credibility at this point. It's been a whole year now and well, playing the game for [i]a year[/i] before finally backing out is pretty much a solid return on investment. That said, there are plenty of specific issues to be voiced and back up feelings of frustration. But at this point "it's not what I expected" was evident months ago and doesn't really justify a refund or support any claims now.

2 RepliesThey sold us a beta. They've been using us as beta testers. Bungie is incapable of creating a completed game without us. And instead of rewarding us, they make us pay for a game we helped create. I will not contribute another cent to this company.

22 RepliesI do not understand why people are so hypocrites! They can lie as much as they want. You say that you dont feel like you really got your money's worth and still you have spent 302 hours [StoGoloSoo (7 characters) 302 hours] among 7 characters. That means you took an extra effort to create/delete 4 characters. People think that they are entitled to anything. It's like going to an Italian restaurant and eating food for 100$ including re-ordering various items and then in the end saying that sorry, I am not satisfied! You may be entitled to your opinion but take the differences aside and think about this logically and you will realized that it aint that bad! I bought The Last of US and loved the game but I completed the game in 20 hours or so. I played the co-op for another 20 hours or so and then I moved on to next game. I paid $60 for the game. So, how do you justify spending 300+ hours on destiny and stating that you are not satisfied!

3 RepliesWay to articulate your opinion as opposed to just complaints man. I am cautiously optimistic about TTK getting Destiny on the right course. Yearly resets are livable but I'm not sure about this 3 times/year stuff tbh. Thankfully I'm fairly certain TTK will be enough to last me until November 10th...because Fallout. I am confident in Fallout. Cautiously optimistic about Destiny. I really, really hope Destiny lives up to the expectations that it sells so hard as TTK is the last shot Destiny gets from me. 1 ReplyThese are games we play for fun, and we vote with our wallets. If it isn't worth it to you anymore find the next game. This sure isn't the game I was "promised." It isn't a game that I know I will play with whatever free time I have for a decade, and that was the pitch. I have had a thousand hours of fun so far, though, so I got my money's worth. The game was getting stale. I don't see the 2.0 changes as all improvements, but there are many. Will I join you in being tired sometime after Taken King? Probably, from the Twitch reveals. Court of Oryx looks like it will get old faster than the Prison of Elders. It isn't the perfect game, and games are not life. On balance, for me, I got my money worth. But I see the end coming, and I wonder what game will be next.
