Still by Konami. But it will just give the MGS franchise a bad name after the masterpiece that was MGS5.

Not the last for the franchise itself. Remember there were two Metal Gear games before Metal Gear Solid. And then there's Metal Gear Rising. So another Metal Gear series may be developed. It's also the last one made from Kojima. Konami still has the rights to it.

Personally I don't believe Kojima. I think he's been saying this since MGS2 from what others have said. And then he said after 4 he was done. Look what happened, he made Peacewalker and eventually V. I'm like, old man doesn't want to let his baby go. lol
