People don't watch streamers so the streamer gets paid, they watch to find some kind of entertainment from it. NOBODY is going to willingly watch someone who comes across as greedy, and that's the message you have sent (to me at least).
-
Do you even know how twitch works...
-
You stream a lot, eventually you get enough viewers. You get partnered, play ads, people watch those ads, you get paid off those ads. There's also donations and subscriptions, which also go straight to the streamer.
-
They are just trying to get people to even watch them... Bet this guy has less than 2 people every time he streams. People like you just stereotype people who you know nothing about.
-
The most viewers I've had at 1 time is only 4, I'm not getting paid. I just want to help people and stream

Uh no, to me he comes off as someone who is greedy and looking for money. That's what I get from self advertising. If you don't like my opinion, oh well. You won't change it. If he really likes streaming, the people will come. It just take some time and a bit of patience. Make sure you offer content people want to see, show them a good time. Remain interactive with chat, create a positive environment. Going around self advertising only sends out poor messages, or gets poor responses (in my case, both happened. Deal with it.) All I'm trying to do is give a little advice, self advertising rarely causes much in the way of progress. That being said, I do appreciate where he is trying to advertise. Don't advert on other peoples streams, it's a pretty good first step.

I'm not getting paid to stream -_-
-
Not yet, which is why you're advertising
-
I want to make a YouTube channel too, it's just a lot of fun to stream.

Edited by Rikkom: 9/10/2015 1:02:08 PMThen I do apologize, I did get the wrong impression. As long as you have fun, and make it a fun place to be, you'll have no trouble with streaming. It's going to take some time, keep at it even if you feel discouraged. All streamers and youtubers start off small, they grow slowly. Good luck in your future, hope it works out for you. A bit of extra advice: if you're going to self advertise, make your own post. Don't hijack someone else's.

Thank you, I doubt this will ever be anything big but it's fun to do. And I'm 14 and I have a job so I don't need money from twitch. Thank you for apologizing, I see where I can come across as greedy but just doing it for fun 😀
