Honestly, they're not. That damage fall-off is terrible. Bungie wants SMGs. They need to just realize that. No assault rifle has such poor range. Their "mid-range" is waaaaay too close.

Considering we're talking about Crucible, a mode that has no level advantages for a majority of its content, I think my point is fairly valid.

No, because there is no point to basic crucible. Iron Banner, ToO, or Whatever is not affected by it. It is the ONLY rifle like it, and your complaining about it in an area where there is no specific rewards, actual reason to pick it over a strike. Your example, is in fact, invalid.

I got an Icebreaker from PvP. I think the rewards are just fine. Especially with the weekly bounties and their, and I quote, "Nightfall-level rewards".
