While I understand that this should be in #Gaming rather than #Off topic, I actually need the help of the flood for this. As the titles states, I have an idea for a novel that I want to cater to not only the gaming community but also the non-gaming community. So what better place then the home of the flood? So here’s my idea: The word is ravaged in fire and destruction. The sky is filled with dark clouds and pollution. Dead bodies lay on ground as decomposers beak them down. It’s a time of War. [b] The Console War [/b]. In this Dystopian-Parallel world the Console War has broken out its confinements of Controllers and Virtual Reality and has become a War full of Chaos. In the Western Hemisphere holds the base of Microsoft and its #XboxMasterRace soldiers. In the East holds the headquarters of Sony and its #PSMasterRace soldiers. It’s not a fully developed idea and it doesn't even really have a full plot yet but I do have a few ideas buzzing around: First: I don't know whether or not I should make the war have actual soldiers fighting or drones. If its Drones then I could have a plot point where neither side knows that they're actually fighting a war and they all think its a game. If its actual Soldiers then it adds to the heavy tone that I want for the book. Secondly: I don't know if I should allow this conflict to go beyond earth or stay in it. If it were beyond earth I would be writing a combination of space and torrential battles. If it were on earth I would be only looking at terrestrial battles. Third: I'm thinking that if I do indeed write this and this becomes a successful novel that I would add other fractions to the conflict, like Nintendo, Samsung, Apple, Nintendo, ETC. Do you guys think tis a terrible idea or can you guys add more to this? I think this would be great if this becomes a community novel.
