Just spent 4 hours in the Poe. Spent 3 1/2 on Skolas. My team Quit because three times, the following occurred. We would get to a mine; Dismantle it. The debris, raining down upon us. We make a break for the next mine and 20 seconds later, BAM! "You disappoint me, Guardians!" We dismantled the mine and the next one had plenty of time left on it! So, what was so "Disappointing?" I'll tell you what was disappointing, that scenario happened three times! The last time, Skolas only had a sliver of health! We were on the home stretch! Bungie, are you gonna fix the PoE? Or leave it behind when TTK drops. I spent 40 bucks on this, so I hope you fix it but I fear the later. You spend so much time nerfing weapons, the FUN part of this game, and seam to care less about nerfing the ridiculously OP, BROKEN, and UNBALANCED endgame content that is making this game tedious.
P.S.
I've beaten Skolas twice, but each time because of a lucky roll with the mines. That's it! Luck! It's like playing for a year to get Gjallarhorn and never getting it. Sometimes, you are just NOT going to beat Skolas. Plain and simple. Without checkpoints, this is ridiculous. Can't wait to see how broken Oryx is. But then, they'll just sweep it under the rug with the next expansion. Seems to be the trend.

I find this post amusing, because I did a skolas today with next to no communication. One person had no mic and the other dude was to quiet to be heard. Skolas was killed first time, no wipe. It sounds like you are blaming the Poe for mistakes your fireteam was making. Not to sound blunt.

I got rocket blocked by a captain... He was running up behind me. My brother saw it too, he was right behind me, I shot my rocket with a clear sight picture and died.

Had a weird thing with the mines tonight. Killed Skolas in the middle of the first mine, then everything was dead so all we had to do was clear them. Sorry to hear about that, sounds like just a bit of bad luck. Skolas is a tough bastard.

One more reason I'm glad I didn't waste my time chasing that moments of triumph emblem

For the record, if you are smart about controlling Skolas' health and clearing adds right before the mines, you can send someone across the arena and the player with the essence and the next player to take it stick together. That way you don't need to rely on luck of the mine placement. Also dedicate your super just for the mines. (Radiance, Ward of Dawn, Vanish with Arcblade)

That mine glitch happened to me and my fire team once we couldn't figure it out and rage quit
