Recently I have been using Titan in Control with the Defender subclass and Helm of Saint-14 and I have noticed two problems with this combination in the Crucible.
Ward of Dawn is the only super in the game that does no damage at all. It is a pure defensive ability, yet it can easily be destroyed by other supers. A super should counter a super, that's not the issue. The problem is that after the WoD is taken down, the attacking super like Fist of Havoc and Nova Bomb still kill whoever was inside. This should not happen. The WoD should take ALL the damage done by these attacks, and give the players who were inside a chance to survive, especially when Blessing of Light is activated. I thought the point of the super was to protect. It's like these attacks do two things at once: they take the defense down and kill you in one blow. That should not happen. WoD needs one of two buffs: More damage resistance or being able to take all the damage done by attacking supers.
Helm of Saint-14 can also be countered easily. It's great that you can blind enemies. The problem is that this effect only lasts, like, 2 seconds, and it is still 2 seconds even when the enemy is inside the WoD. Why is that? if you stay inside, you should stay blind. Simple as that. In PvE it takes way longer for enemies to recover from this effect; the same thing should happen in PvP.
Titan is already an underpowered class in PvP, and Defender subclass is even more underpowered. WoD and Helm of Saint-14 should not be countered so easily when their main purpose is defense.

I've actually done better using my Defender Titan than any of my other characters.
