With only a week or so left and many of you only missing golden chests in order to get the Laurea Prima emblem (don't pretend like you don't, I checked) I decided to go ahead and post this in the hopes that some of you will retrace your steps and find those elusive golden boxes. It might be just an emblem, but I don't think this should be the one thing that holds you back from it. Keep in mind that some of these can only be found during missions, so you will have to do some old stuff. [b]Earth - 5 chests[/b] [spoiler]1 - Dock 13 Found during the story mission Restoration. When you head up the stairs and into the building, the golden chest is directly on your left. You should already have this one. 2 - The Lunar Complex Found during the The Dark Within story mission. After you kill the Hive Wizard, do some platforming and jump onto the ceiling/roof of the area you'd normally enter to get to Skywatch. The chest is I'm a lighted area, and shouldn't be hard to spot. 3 - The Forgotten Shore You can find this chest while doing patrol. On your way from the Mothyards to the Forgotten Shore, keep your eyes to the left and you will spot a cave with a small trickle of water running in front of it. The third chest is inside. 4 - The Forgotten Shore This chest can also be found in patrol. Head for the water and hug the coastline all the way to the left (you can walk or use your Sparrow). You'll see the chest sitting on a rock. 5 - The Devil's Lair This chest can only be found during the Devil's Lair strike, where you face Sepiks Prime. Upon defeating Sepiks, jump down to the bottom floor and look under the right staircase. The golden chest will be there.[/spoiler] [b]The Moon - 5 chests[/b] [spoiler]1 - Archer's Line This chest can be found in Patrol. Hop on your sparrow and head towards the Hellmouth. Instead of taking the normal route or using the ramps, hug the path all the way to the left, and the golden chest will be sitting in the rock formation that will pass on your right. 2 - Hall of Wisdom This chest can be found while patrolling. Head into the dome across from your starting area, and pass (or kill) the Hallowed Knights into the Hive-dominated area. Make your way all the way down the spiral walkway into the water below, then follow the water into a cave to find the second chest. 3 - The World's Grave This chest can be found during the World's Grave story mission. Upon making it to the final area, just hop into the water and turn around. The chest will be off to the right, not very hard to spot. 4 - The Temple of Crota You can find this chest while patrolling. Head into the temple of Crota and make your way to the first Hive seeder. Look down into the glowing abyss from the door facing the Hive caves - you should see chest number 4 sitting on a platform. 5 - The Summoning Pit This chest can only be found by doing the Summoning Pits strike where you face Phogoth. Upon killing Phogoth, jump or run down to the lower platform and look by the left staircase to find the last chest on the moon.[/spoiler] [b]Venus - 5 chests[/b] [spoiler]1 - Ishtar Academy This chest can be found while on patrol. Head through the tunnel that connects the Shattered Coast to the Academy. Turn around when you get close to the exit and come back the other way - the golden chest will be sitting on a rectangular object behind a pillar. 2 - Campus 9 This chest can be found while on patrol. After entering campus 9, head off to the right and jump behind the building that is furthest away from you. The golden chest will be there. 3 & 4 - Scourge of Winter You can find both of these chests while doing the Scourge of Winter story mission. For 3, after you pass through the Ember Caves area and get to the open area inside the cave, look to your left as you head upwards - chest 3 will be sitting on a cliff face. You'll have to jump across to get it. Chest 4 can actually be found on the prow of the Ketch. Just head right instead of left as you head up the walkway, and the golden chest will be sitting near the edge. 5 - N/Gen Branch The final chest can be found during the Nexus strike. When you enter the N/Gen branch area, head off to the right and enter the area with the cubicles. The golden chest will be on the ground in cubicle 2B.[/spoiler] [b]Mars - 5 chests[/b] [spoiler]1 - The Barrens You can find this chest easily from your stating position in patrol, or during the Exclusion Zone story mission. Head off to the right and follow the slope all the way down until you get to a domed building, similar to the one at the bottom of the cliff where the Vex are fighting Cabal. Head inside and you'll find the golden chest on a box. 2 - The Hollows From your starting position in patrol, head straight and to the left to enter the tunnel that leads to the Hollows. Before you exit, look up and you should be able yo see a hole in the ceiling above. Jump up into it and your second chest will be in a corner behind the wall. 3 - Dust Palace This chest can be found on patrol or during the Dust Palace strike. When you enter the area with a bunch of staircases, look for an office area with the number 3 next to it (Psions will probably be shooting at you from in there, if you can't see it). Golden chest number 3 is behind the desk in that room. 4 - Iron Line This can be found on patrol, during any mission that takes you through the Iron Line, or during the Cerberus Vae strike. Clear out the enemies, then use the pipes to your left to jump up onto the walkway above the red, lighted door in front of you. If you're playing the Garden's Spire, this door will open to reveal the path to the spire. Jump across from the walkway you're on to the one across from you, and you'll find the last golden chest in the corner. 5 - Tharsis Junction Can be found on patrol or during the A Rising Tide story mission. When you get to the area with the Vex transfer gates, destroy the first one and then head into the area to its left. Walk around the wall into a tiny area and you'll find a gold chest. You'll know you're in the right room if you see two boxes to your left, and air canisters to your right. The boxes prevent you from seeing the chest from the outside. [/spoiler] And that's all there is to it! Sorry to say that if you don't know which ones you're missing on each planet, you're probably going to have to check each of them to see if you got it or not.
