acusations of cheating
lately I've played trials and during one of the matches i lagged out for about 10 seconds then was reconnected and from then on for the whole match everything was laggy. i got a message from the guys we were playing against and after they ranted a bit in my mail box they said they were reporting me for cheating calling it lag switching. is there a possibility that i'll be banned because of this and if so how can i prove my innocence.

I think it would take more than one random report of cheating to get bungie up off their backsides and check you out, however. I have noticed that the whole cheating thing has become more subtle in its form, so anything that looks not right I report as "cheating/bad connection" whether its red bars, one shot kills from a level 10 or whatever else, then I report it.... anyway, I am sure you have nothing to worry about, well. not unless you were cheating...hahahahaha

It happens to many of us. Like others have said , noone can really tell the difference between real cheating and lag.

Edited by Lead: 9/7/2015 1:49:18 PMit is sad but whenever someone lose or get disconnected by their own shiity internet they accuse the other team of cheating. There is real cheater out there but most disconnection in this game are due to our own internet issue.. modem reboot, router at ISP maintenance or reboot.. routing issue on internet etc.. I see a lot of top 10 streamers just using the cheat report even for red bars.. just for the sake of it.. with comment like "I report and Bungie will figure it out.." thing is the more false report and the less likely real cheater will get banned as this induce extra works on Bungie teams. wolf crying is never good..
