I know first thing I thought of was he was talking about a sheep or some other farm animal
-
It's not Danish for poop...it means before anything else...short for babe
-
Danish word for poo
-
Current dumb youth slang, like we did when we were you and everyone older than us thought we were dumb lol
-
What's a bae? I don't speak youth.
It's "poop" in danish.
-
You're wrong, bae is an acronym and cannot be related to a word because it consists if three words. Before Anyone Else So you cannot relate it's origins to Danish, also you cannot just act like we're speaking Danish because we aren't.
-
false
-
Deny it if you'd like...but I have friends in Europe and they've confirmed it. Granted, one lives in Norway so maybe it's Norwegian...but nonetheless it means poop. It might not be the intent of the word here...but that's what it means.
-
use any translator lol
-
Someone that speaks the language is good enough for me. Besides, I used to world in Globalization...online translations are good but not great.
-
The difference is here we use the ae and there they use a letter that looks like the two put together (which I am blanking now on what it's called).

feel free to live a life of ignorance :[ if it makes you happy

And to you good sir.

Too* your ignorance is showing yet again.
Too* your ignorance is showing yet again.
Are you sure? Perhaps if you didn't assume there was only one way to write things you wouldn't be caught up in conversations like this. I suggest learning more about your language and the formats of writing. (Not to mention how you feel the need to resort to attempted grammar correction rather than supporting your argument is more of a show of ignorance and insecurity.) Personally, I find this bae thing funny because I am told it's short for babe and that is silly. Babe is one syllable and so is bae, it's not short for anything; heck, it's more likely a misspelling than anything else. The "before anything else" makes more sense to me but, again, there's a word that sounds exactly the same and it means something else. If it really did mean that, then it should be in all caps. As a side note, my Norwegian friend laughed hard when she saw it starting to appear on fb. I trust her given she speaks the language.
-
Countless countless people say it doesn't mean poop. I don't need to support my argument anymore than I did. You were saying farewell and used the wrong to.
-
Fair enough, I'm not trying to convince you . I was just explaining my point of view and why I say what I say. Either way, fyi, to and too are both accepted depending on the wording of the sentence. Since you put so much stock in google, why don't you look it up and learn something rather than being closed minded?
-
Too can be used to replace "also" which would have made a perfect sentence. "To" has a completely different meaning. Also the "bae" in Danish you're thinking of uses æ which makes it different than the acronym. I never defended using bae btw.
-
I think, regardless of our world views of grammar, we can agree that bae is just plain foolish. They should just say babe. If she/he truly were before anything else then they deserve more respect than a lazy term.
-
And this is very true.
-
Correct on both, but "to" used in the way that I used it isn't incorrect. It's typically thought of as more British than American but they are both accepted. Concerning bae, I don't speak Danish and am just stating what I have been told by others that know more than me. Even though it's spelled differently, it's said the same and that's where the problem is. I think, if it really does mean before anything else, it should be in caps and not written like it is a real word.
-
read and read are spelled/spelt the same but are different so bae and bæ aren't even the same. And don't say you don't speak Danish so you're going off what you heard then tell me you're not incorrect because you're using "to" in the British way not American way. It doesn't make to argue that I'm wrong by using the American way, the way I know if you're going to argue bæ means poop based off of what you heard. Either way you're wrong on all accounts 🙌🏼

Word used by ghetto people to address their significant other because they have found themselves too lazy to pronounce the entire word "babe".

Edited by Liddall: 9/6/2015 3:35:49 PMI like how you just referred to most people in my school as ghetto people. It was a joke I was hoping for some "you stupid f ing f****t comments.
