Actually, it depends on the power of the people fighting. Spartans are obviously more powerful than Padawans and some knights, but master Jedi and Sith Lords would reduce them to rubbish. I guess I'm saying Spartans have higher standards.

According to the Star Wars canon the force cannot affect anything without midochlorians and the Halo universe, being seperate from Star Wars, doesn't have them. This means that the only force that would work on them would be lighting and throwing objects at them.

NO! The midiclorians CHANNEL the energy of the force allowing a living being to USE it. "The force binds us, connects us all it does" yoda He basically states the force is the underlying energy current of the UNIVERSE. (Watch empire strikes back specifically the scenes where yoda is training luke) The rocks dont have midoclorians, luke moved them just fine. All matter can be converted to energy and vice versa so all energy and matter can be controlled by energy.

But the force does not exist outside of the Star Wars universe so it can't affect what it has never touched, seen, or known of.

Yes they still have the force, but they can't really do any mindgames or anything that directly affects something in the Halo universe (lighting not included). They can still use the force to move objects and throw the lightsabers though so yes, they will still have the force.

The force has much more you can do with it: Grip/throw Lightning Protective ward Maelstrom (energy shield that reflects incoming energy and objects and returns to sender) Force push Force pull Force lightning Mind trick (on weak minded) Mild telepathy Absorption/drain (absorb energy/drain life force) Blaster reflection (vader could do this with his hand for example) Force healing Analyze or scan objects/surroundings with your mind Become one with the force (turn yourself into energy and interact with the energy of the universe in that form; non reversible so u cant take physical form again) Pacify and control wild beasts and animals [spoiler] In young jedi series, the book of sith and new movie likely: darth sidious escapes death by using force transference to move from his body into a clone of his body[/spoiler] And there are a few other abilities as well

Out of all those how many have offensive capabilities that could be used against someone in the Halo universe? Not only that but the laser deflection would only work on low velocity weapons because everything else would move to fast for them to react. Healing is limited in its capabilites especially when dealing with life threatening wounds or limb loss.

Chief doesn't have any midiclorians, so mace's force attacks would be useless, which basically makes him a guy with a sword that can jump high, verses a guy with a gun and enhanced abilities
