what you want to do is run a high impact hand cannon like Timur's, Ill Will, Thorn, TLW, get your pot shots on the guy while behind cover, then you want to swap to DN7 and without giving a -blam!- about ammo for it just spam it as you exit cover, I use it as a long range shotty and it works out pretty decent most of the time. if you get the drop on a guy you can effectively kill him fairly quick, a ram will obviously live through pretty much all 5 or 6 shots you have however thats where the high impact hc comes into play by shooting your target with the HC a couple times first you effectively negate their armor and shields in one engagement, you then follow up with impossibly high RoF sniper rounds which they will never expect and as their fallacy leads them to expect more inaccurate HC fire (especially on a map like pantheon where snipers will chance that you won't be able to hit them enough times to kill them) you spray them down with highly accurate shots and their draws drop in disbelief that they were killed by "the worst sniper in the game", using this tactic I've killed full on sunsinger, flame shield, radiant skin rams, after you negate their armor advantage you are home free to waste them ofc this method is highly circumstantial and will not work every single time and statistically you will fail more than you succeed however in my experience if you manage to kill a ram with all the extra health they usually rage quit after they die to you 2 or three more times.

Don't get me wrong: I like my Subtle Nudge. It is a hell of a lot of fun to use. There's just way better sniper rifles. Honestly, though, my Hopscotch Pilgraim roll (max stability, rangefinder, battle runner) almost negates the need for a sniper rifle on some of these maps. I'm getting my kicks with the ridiculous reach of this thing before they cut the legs out from under its range in 2.0 ...

yeah I have a feeling all my favorites are gonna blow once auto rifles reign supreme again.

You got any stellar auto rifles? The vendor roll Low Down auto is lethal as f***.

Edited by cptgantu: 9/6/2015 2:16:04 AMEdit: I actually just found a First Rule DHYB on my warlock that has Range Finder and Crowd Control I think might be a pretty good gun I have it leveled so I obviously used it some time ago. yeah I've got quite a few New Monarchy's Vindicator XI (Currently my Favorite, haven't got the perks I wanted on it) Pest Control Matrix (would be my favorite if it had 35 rounds instead of 27) Suros Regime ( definitely a great auto rifle a shame Focus Fire slows the Rate of Fire down too much if it were just 5% faster it'd be really really nice ) Low Down P-XIV (I believe i have the vendor roll like you I just haven't taken the time to level it) Similar's Wrath (I swear Iron Banner has some of the best gear available even though it may seem like its trash and that 40 round mag is no joke) Up For Anything with Hammer Forged (has the perfect amount of range for an auto rifle) just wish its other perks were good Honestly though I think Vindicator XI is my favorite, and if I could get Crowd Control, Rifled Barrel and Range Finder it'd be pretty good, I gave this some thought as I was looking at the available perks on HoW autos, having both Crowd Control and Glass Half Full would be really good however you wouldn't be able to hit 1/3rd of your targets during an engagement, so in my opinion having both CC and GHF is kindof a waste when you can get Crowd Control, rangefinder and Rifled Barrel and be able to hit targets at the scout rifle range still get bonus damage from getting kills. the other options for perk 1 are pretty useless except Hip Fire and Persistence, however the stability on rifles like Low down and Vindicator are decent enough you don't really need stability so if you are shooting for hip fire you should shoot for hip fire, rifled barrel, and glass half full.
