They need the extra money to pay off Marty what he's due. Good to see him win against his oppressors.
story was revised
I like how everyone here immediately thinks this means things were cut up to hurt the fans. That doesn't even make sense. What if there were loop holes? What if there were plot holes? What if the story just wasn't good? What if it was predictable? What if it just didn't work? No. We can't think logically here. It always has to be "Bungie cut cut cut money Activision illuminati Bungie hates their player base!!!1!!111!" Now yes, I've seen the one cut cutscene "out here in the wild, this is how we talk" from the E3 trailer. I've also read the "leaked" "old destiny story" and honestly, that story -blam!-ing sucked. It didn't have motive, it wasn't compelling, and it wasn't in depth. And the reason the in game story sucks now is because Bungie just didn't have time to fix it. But it remains in the Grimoire (the new story that didn't make it all the way into the game) which is very in depth and compelling. With TTK, we've seen more story in the first mission than all of the story missions in the vanilla game combined (hyperbole, but it is 10x than the vanilla story missions). And in the trailers, story also lyes. (Now you may say they'll cut it like the did the original, but the game really can't afford a hit like that right now. That'd truly kill it and Bungie knows it. If you've seen interviews, you'd see that the developers know the screwed up bad) Marty put a lot into his work, I understand that. I understand why he acted as he did. I get it. But he shouldn't have acted that way. It just wasn't a mature way to act. Especially since afterwards, he stopped working hard on his pieces. It's a shame Activision did that. It's in the past. What happened to us looking forward to TTK? Can we do that?
