Do rastafarians get punished for smoking weed in America?
Or is their religion not considered a good enough reason to break the law?
It seems to me that if you want a free pass for Christians to refuse service to gay people, you can't punish rastas for smoking weed.

Edited by Shiloh Ivy: 9/4/2015 5:50:08 PMIt's not considered an official religion. Edit: and it's optional to smoke weed in their religion. It's not a core belief. Or a belief at all.

I wouldn't say homophobia is a core belief of Christianity either, it doesn't even feature in any of the over 600 commandments does it?
-
It does, multiple times. I don't feel like quoting them, so google it. The Bible condemns homosexuality multiple times.

Ah but that's not what I asked was it? I asked whether it was mentioned in the commandments. You'd think a core belief would make it into one of the over six hundred commandments.
-
It's condemned in the Bible and there was no mention that it was abolished. You may try to manipulate it to seem like it isn't, but the Bible is clear on it.
-
I'm not saying the bible isn't clear on it, I'm saying it's not a core belief, which is why it didn't feature in the commandments.

The better question would be does Jesus condemn homosexuality
