I respect your opinion man but personally I have no problem leaving my fatebringer. Hell im not gonna delete it, or any of my raid weapons and armor. I'm looking forward to being exposed to a whole new set of Legendaries and exotics to use

Sure, that's cool. Me too. But 6-8 months down the road when you've played a bunch of the new weapons, and had fun, but then want to reach into the vault and pull out trusty old Fatebringer, or Vex Mythoclast... And try out some of the new raid with them in your hands.. You will be pissed they don't at least have to option to ascend.

You think that now, but what happens come Year 3 and everything you do in TTK and so on for Year 2 is likewise rendered obsolete? Are you willing to accept reseting your progress, countless hours spent for the next 10 years that this game is active?

True, however there is nothing saying that they WON'T keep doing it, either. And based on past experience, its more likely that they will.
