I want to say maybe it's the corruption of things. Like the fallen and the cabal and vex. They are called the minions of the darkness. Or it's another thing like the traveller? At this point it really hasn't been told.
-
The fallen and cabal are not minions, they fear the darkness.
-
Just wanted to throw this out here, the Hive (and possibly the Vex) are really the only true minions of the Darkness. The Fallen are trying to take back the Traveler, and the Cabal are running like shit from something
-
But I believe that the fallen are corrupted.
-
But I believe that the fallen are corrupted.
-
Corrupted by greed maybe. They see us as thieves who took the Traveler, and they began to pillage our worlds to try and get her back
-
I guess there really isn't any proof darkness corrupted them now that I think of it
-
But I believe that the fallen are corrupted.

Tin foil hat time....but if I had to put money down? The darkness is exactly what it says it is, darkness. Or the inevitable end of all things, all life, all light...the death of the universe. The traveler and light is the struggle of sentient beings against the inevitable end, and possible ways to survive it. I don't think it's coincidence the traveler cards use the term alpha Lupi. That is a real star in the galaxy near where the largest super nova in recorded human history occurred. The sun died and ate up all the nearby worlds.

But then how did Toland communicate with it? How does its conscience work? All questions that must be answered soon...

Edited by A Rising Wind: 9/4/2015 2:34:56 AMMaybe during yoga??? I've got one fundamental problem with my thought, what the hell did Rasputin attack if the darkness is what I said. I'll be honest, I don't have a good answer. But for Toland, he seemed particularly obsessed with ir yut and her deathsong, which in grimoire seem to imply the hive ability to survive death of time itself. If the darkness is the death of time, maybe the hive have figured out to survive it, basically eternally undead. So his communication with the darkness might be his realizing how the hive respond to it This would also explain while vex are aligned with the darkness. Their multiple timelines would allow them survival of the end time. The fallen and cabal? They are screwed...like us. Cept we are destiny ;)

According to one of Rasputin's cards (the ones in weird, military chatter) he comments that there are traces of dark matter/energy within the Darknesa
